● This assignment is an Individual report and specific.
● You must use Times New Roman font, size 12, set number of the pages and use
multiple line spacing at 1.5. Margins must be: left: 1 inch; right: 1 inch; top: 1
inch and bottom: 1 inch.
● You should use in text references and a list of all cited sources at the end of the
essay by applying Harvard referencing style.
● The recommended word limit is minimum 3000 and maximum 5000 words (+/-
10%) , excluding the tables, graphs, diagrams, appendixes and references. If you
exceed the word limit (excluding reference, appendix, and administrative sections),
your grade may get penalized.
● The cover page of the report has to be the Assignment front sheet 1 (to be attached
with this assignment brief).

● Students are required to submit the assignment in due date and in a way requested
by the Tutor.
● The form of submission will be a soft copy posted on http://cms.btec.edu.vn/ .
● Remember to convert the word file into PDF file before the submission on CMS.

Vocational scenarios

You are working as a business analyst at Dragon Capital (DCVFM) , an Investment


Fund in Vietnam . Your direct supervisor asks you to summarize the current situation
of business organization in Vietnam, with respect to types, sizes and scope, functions
and organizational structures for the investment plan of the company in 2025-2010.

Your task is to make a report of what you have conducted for the research as in the
following topics:

1. Introduction of the purpose and main contents of the report from the perspective
stated in the scenario (200 words).

2. Explain 3 major sectors: Public, Voluntary and Private sector in terms of types and
purposes and give examples for each sector (1 sector – 1 real organization) (max 500
words)

3. Explain the major business legal structures (sole trader, partnership and limited
company (ltd) and joint stock company (jsc)) in Vietnam.

4. Choose at least 2 business organizations in Vietnam that provide 2 different products


or services (listed companies preferred) to compare the size and the scope of the
companies by pointing out: (max 500 words)

a. The vision, mission and types of company (in legal structure)


b. Field of business the companies are operating (scope)
c. The total revenue or total capital in the latest balance sheet the and the total
employees in 1 fiscal year (size)
d. Explain how structure, size and scope affect the differences in objective,
products or services affect the size and scope of organizations

5. Choose 1 specific company (can be 1 of above companies). Identify at least 5


“stakeholders” (both internal and external) and show the roles and considerations of
each. Analyze the power of each type of stakeholders by relating to the company's
characteristics. ( maximum 500 words)

6. With above specific company (max 800 words ) :

- Showing the current organization chart. And explain the type of organizational
structure. (200 words)
- Choose minimum 3 functions of various key departments in the company and
explain the roles of the functions in company's operating activities .
- Give a real example on how the company functions link to organization objective
and structure by explaining how they work together to reach at least 1 real
objective.

7. With above analysis, give an critical analysis on the complexity of different


organizational functions and structure by:
- Asses s the advantages and disadvantages of the current organizational structure
and how it may affect company's operations or interrelationships between
organizational functions . (max 500 words)
- Compare the company's structure with at least 1 global organization and explain
the complexity of going global in terms of changing company structure and
functions. (max 500 words)

A conclusion to summarize all the key findings and analysis must be presented. ( max 300
words)
