This Method Statement is for the rectification of the deflected segment in Building F.
GL:F11-F10. It is a detailed and essential document that outlines the proper work
procedures, necessary safety measures, and equipment to be used during these
rectification activities. It is critical to adhere to these instructions to ensure that the
work is completed efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with all relevant
regulations, specifications, and contract drawings.

2.0 SCOPE
Outline the scope of the rectification of segment beam and slab. This method
statement shall be used for Civil/ Structural Works. RCDC shall be accountable to
comply with all works and safety stipulated/measures as stated in the safety
program and on this method statement.

3.0 OBJECTIVE
The purpose of this Civil/ Structural work method statement is to provide a detailed
description that outlines the procedures required for the rectification of the
segment that has been deflected in GL:F11-F10 and all other associated activities. It
is important that all personnel involved in the task understand this method
statement before commencing the activity.

4.0 RESPONSIBILITIES

7.1 Surface Preparation


 Using appropriate tools and equipment cut and hack the area that
has been affected by the deflection.
 Clear the rectification area of any debris or loose concrete
fragments and clean the existing reinforcements.

7.2 Surface Execution


 Remove and replace deflected area cut it on L/3.

 Restore the formwork for the affected area. Ensuring that the
elevation has been attained.
 Restore Mefps rough-ins by coordinating with other Contractor.
 Restore all the reinforcement by lifting the formwork system
through Tower Crane.
 Provide epoxy on the joints.

7.3 Quality Control


 Regular inspection will be conducted during and after work to
ensure that the work meets the required standard.

8.0 SAFETY MEASURE

 All personnel involved shall comply with the safety procedures or


instruction as set in out the project safety plan, rules, and
regulations.
 Basic Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) shall be worn by all staff
or construction team.
 Safety measures, including fall protection and confined space
procedures, will be in place and followed.
