MY REFLECTION IN DEPED ORDER NO.

8 SERIES 2015

I have learned that in DepEd Order No. 8 Series 2015 is that, this is
the most focused DepEd Order because in my own understanding about
the policy guidelines on classroom for the K to 12 basic education
programs. The classroom assessment is a method to keep track and
measures learning- teaching strategies accordingly for the learners.
Teacher and learners are involved in classroom assessment. Assessment in
the classroom aimed to help the learners to be active and to perform well
in the class. It is significant to report students learning progress accurately
and fairly based on the evidence obtained from a variety of information.
The department of education set a learning standards for the learners to
promote personal accountability among students about their learnings.
Formative and Summative Assessment are the two types of
classroom assessment. Formative assessment may be given at any time
during the learning process. Teachers must be keen observant to their
learners so that teachers will provide lessons that are suited to the
learners. Summative assessment measures whether learners have met the
content and performance standards at the end of a particular unit. It is
essential to know as a future-educators on how to compute grades with
the use of standards and competency - based grading system. The
kindergarten is based on learning standards found in the kindergarten
curriculum guide. All the output of the student must be recorded, teacher
must keep a portfolio for each student. The portfolio will be concrete
evidence of how much or how well the learners is able to describe
learners' behavior, attitude and efforts in school work. The learners from
Grades 1 to 10 are graded every grading period based on written work,
performance tasks and quarterly assessment.
