IFVG Set-Up Mastery

Tempo Trades
Make This
Your Turning
Point In
Trading.

Yo, it’s Tempo, after trading IFVG’s for years now. Managing 7
figures in trading capital, having constant 5-figure days, and even
going onto almost a 40-DAY WINSTREAK. I can confidently say I
understand IFVG’s and trading like the back of my hand.

I can also confidently say that if you lock in and take deep notes,
genuinely taking the time to study this value, you will understand
IFVG’s SO MUCH better before taking in this knowledge.

Minimizing your time to profitability and ultimate freedom in life.

Anyways, get to learning, master those IFVG’s, and let’s build our
dreams together in trading.

Tempo Trades
- GOOD SETUP

This is a really good setup because we have a bullish SMT with ES, and NQ had a PERFECT tap off
the 50% level. It did not close under that level or go past but simply wicked it and reversed which
is exactly what I want to see. To top it all off we had a CLEAR target or Draw on liquidity which were
London highs.

- BAD SETUP

This is a super bad setup and a good example of why momentum is important. When trading NQ
we want good expansion price action not horizontal chop. In addition to that you can see the IFVG
in this photo is SUPER small only like 3 points which offers virtually no support for this short. It
failed INSTANTLY

- GOOD SETUP

Another really good setup here. Price came up and swept the NY AM highs which usually hold a
ton of liquidity and act as good reversal points. The IFVG is small here which is the only downside
but you can see we cleanly moved from one side of the range to the other very nice reversal.

- BAD SETUP

I want to start off by saying just because a setup works DOES NOT mean it is a good setup. Some
context for this one is that it was a bank holiday, meaning the market closes early at 1pm est and
usually includes worse volatility and price movement. A normal NQ morning range is usually 100
pts or more and this session's range was 51 points. So even though price came down and swept
our overnight levels the momentum was SO BAD going through this 1m IFVG and will not have a
high win rate. In addition to all of that we also created equal lows as you can see in the photo
which makes this long even worse.

- GOOD SETUP [ Reversal ]

This is an example of my “bread and butter setup”. Very nice overnight sweep meaning the asia
and london high was swept here (red and blue lines). As soon as that sweeps im looking for price
to reverse the IFVG you can see in this example I combined two smaller FVGs into a single FVG
which you can do. Once we closed under the gap we sold very smoothly down to the lows.

- BAD SETUP

Another REALLY bad IFVG setup. This time the candle that closes over the IFVG actually sweeps
the internal high to the left which is a really bad sign. You want price to sweep out ZERO liquidity
before entering because that will lower the success rate of the setup. In addition the gap is also
pretty small once again at only 5 points AND we have triple equal lows below so price should want
to seek that out so overall a very bad setup

- GOOD SETUP

Same deal here. You can see price initially goes for a sell move but it doesn’t complete the full
move until it comes back up and also takes Asia high as well. Once that happens price inverses
the FVG and sells all the way to the other side. It is very important to see the reactions and
momentum to these liquidity sweeps so you can know if its ok to take a setup right away or you
need to wait for price to sweep more liquidity.

- BAD SETUP

This is an example of why RR is so important. You can see to the left that price swept out the
London high, so normally we would look for a reversal here. Unfortunately the red candle that
closed below the gap was SO AGGRESSIVE it completely killed the RR. The original play would have
been about a 14 pt stoploss and turned into a 38 point stop loss if you entered on the bearish
candle close. Plays like these you either have to chase earlier at the top or completely ignore
because it will kill your stats and RR.

- GOOD SETUP

This right here is one of the best setups I have seen IN A WHILE. Honestly an A+ setup. We have a
data wick which is that huge black candle with the wick up top. In addition price also comes down
and sweeps an overnight low so not only do we have the data wick reversal but we also have a
standard overnight sweep reversal. I waited for an IFVG to form and took it long targeting the top
data high wick. Super high probability play right here

- BAD SETUP

Last but not least this is a good example of what happens if you go against the draw on liquidity.
You can clearly see the red line above us which is London high. Taking shorts here is an extremely
bad idea. In addition to that there are TWO GAPS on this specific setup. When we take IFVGs you
want to make sure most of your plays have a singular gaps because any of these gaps can make
the setup fail. You can see if you entered once the candle closed below the first gap it did not have
enough strength to close below the second one and bounce right back up to target that London
high.
