I. Intended Learning Outcome By the end of the lesson, at least 85% of the learners

A. Preliminary Activities ● The teacher checks the attendance.

Teacher: Good Morning Everyone!

Students: Good Morning, Teacher Briana and

Miss Huang!

● The teacher checks the attendance.

Teacher: Who is not here today?

Students: Teacher, we are complete.

Teacher: That’s awesome!

● The teacher reminds the learners of the


classroom rules.

Teacher: Now, I want you all to put your

colored the pens under the table and

turn your chair facing at the front.


(Students will follow what the teacher say)

Teacher: Good Job!

B. Warm Up
(5 minutes)
● The teacher will instruct the students to look
at the television then later ask questions.

Teacher: This time let’s look at the television.

Now, how many people are there in

the picture? Help me to count! So,

how many?

Students: There are five people in the picture.

Teacher: Good! And how about this 2nd

picture? How many people are there?

Students: There are a lot people in the picture.

Teacher: Right! Now, Let’s compare. Which is

big group and which is small group?

Students: Number 1 is small, and number 2 is

big group.

Teacher: Great! And who do you think they

are?

Students: Mother! Father! Brother! Sister!

Teacher: Perfect! They are called Family. So,

today we talk about family. But first,

let me ask all of you, how many are

you in your family?

(The students will then share to the class.)

Teacher: Is your family small or big?

(The students will answer in chorus.)

Teacher: Perfect! Everyone! Let’s look at

picture number 1, are they a family?

Students: No!

Teacher: Correct! They are friends or


classmates. What about picture

number 2? Are they a family?

Students: No!

Teacher: Right! That is the teacher and her

student! What about number 3?

Students: Yes!

Teacher: They are a family! If you live in the

same house and loving each other

that means you are a family. Now,

what if you don’t have a father, are

you still a family?

Students: Yes!

Teacher: Of course! Still a family even without

a father. How about if there’s no

mother and father but only

grandparents? Is it still a family?

Students: Yes!

Teacher: Big Yes! It doesn’t matter how big

or small your family is, what’s

important is you love each other.

Students: Alright, now let’s get to know the

members of the family.

● The teacher will then use the Family Song as a


way of practicing many vocabulary words.
And
C. Activity
with the use of seating arrangement, they are
Vocabulary Listening being divided into four groups already.
(10 minutes)
Teacher: Now, everyone. Let’s play a game.

This game is called Fill in the Beat.

Teacher Briana will sing a song and


if the music stops, you will give me

the name of the family members.

Okay?

Students: Okay, Teacher!

Teacher: Are you ready?

Students: Yes, we are ready!

Teacher: Alright, let’s start!

(Everyone will then start playing the game

Until all the members of the family will

be mentioned in the lyrics.)

Vocabulary Words are the following:

-mother -grandmother

-father -grandfather
D. Analysis
Vocabulary Practice -brother -aunt
(10 minutes)
-sister -uncle

-me -cousin

 The teacher will do a drill through a picture


generator to let the students practice the
vocabulary words. This is in the form of game
also so all of them will be motivated to
participate. But they need to remember that
fair game is being promoted so all of them will
have a chance to play.

Teacher: Now, everyone. Let’s play another

game which is called Name Me! You

E. Abstraction will tell me who the family member is


Vocabulary Enhancement being shown in the picture. Okay?

Students: Okay, teacher.

Teacher: Okay, let’s get started

Teacher: Alright, time is up. Let’s review the

stars.
 The teacher will choose a few students to share
the type of family they have whether small or
big family then identify the family members.
The teacher will choose the student who would
volunteer at the front but if nobody would like
to do it then she will use the number generator.

F. Application  The teacher will highlight the importance of


having a family whether it’s big or small. Then
finally, present a quote “Family is who will love
you the most no matter what happens.”
