UAE vision 2021 - vision 2021 is a long-term development plan for the UAE launched
by H. H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister
of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai in 2010.

1. According to the UAE’s 2050 Energy Strategy, what are the possible solutions that will
evolve to save future environment?
Solar energy farms is one of the examples. A coordinated effort to implement a variety of
alternative energy sources including a balance of solar, wind, hydro-electric and other sources.
This may also extend to use of electric vehicle power.
2. What are the 17 principles through which UAE created its sustainability goals?
The UAE created an initiative to develop its sustainability goals through seventeen principles.
These principles include: no poverty, zero hunger, good health and well-being, quality education,
gender equality, clean water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy, decent work and
economic growth; industry, innovation, and infrastructure; reduced inequalities, sustainable cities
and communities, responsible consumption and production, climate action, life below water, life
on land; peace, justice and strong institutions; and partnerships for the goals.
