Domains of AI
LO :To identify domains of Artificial Intelligence and
its use in various fields.

Define the following:


1. Artificial Intelligence - Artificial Intelligence is a
method of making a computer, a computer-
controlled robot, or a software think intelligently like
the human mind.

2. Clinical Trial Matching (CTM) – CTM system is


developed by IBM WATSON that uses AI technology
to read patients data to help doctors to select the
right customised treatment plan for every patient.

3. Data – Data is the domain of AI .It is the heart


of AI, as no AI can be developed or function without
adequate data. The different types of data used in AI
are sound, text, images and video.
Examples –biometric system of AI ,Sementaris

4. Computer VISION (CV) - This domain of AI


enables machines to identify and process objects
in images and videos in the same way as human
do.

Examples – driverless car ,mobile face lock


recognition .
5. Natural Language Processing (NLP) -This domain
of AI gives computer the ability to understand text
and spoken words in much the same way as human
beings do .
