Sub: Deputation of Corporation employees to other departments/


organizations– Reg-:

Deputation of Corporation employees to other organizations has been provisioned at


Regulation 18 of FCI (Staff) Regulations 1971. Delegation of powers for regulating such
deputations by various authorities has also been provided vide Circular No. EP-03-2022-07
dated 15.02.2022.

In order to regulate deputation of Corporation employees to other Central Government/


State Government departments/ organizations/PSUs/ Autonomous bodies etc, following
guidelines are communicated;

1. An employee shall be eligible for deputation only after completion of 5 years of service in
the Corporation.
2. An employee is allowed to apply for maximum four occasions for deputation in a
calendar year.
3. Employee shall be free from vigilance angle at the time of forwarding application and at
the time of actual reliving on being selected for deputation.
4. Maximum of two tenures on deputation is allowed in entire service period of an
employee. In any case, total period of deputation in entire service shall not exceed ten
(10) years.
5. There shall be a mandatory “cooling off” period of five years after initial period of
deputation.

Compliance to the above guidelines shall be ensured by the authorities concerned while
allowing employees on deputation.
