Department of Space (DOS) is responsible for administration of the Indian Space


Programme in the areas of Space Science and technology. The vision of Indian Space
Programme is to harness, sustain and augment space technology for national
development, while pursuing space science research and planetary exploration. The
mandates of Indian Space Programme are administered by the Department through
Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and its constituted Centres I Units located
across the country, ranging from launch vehicles, spacecraft and applications, which are
delivered in Mission mode and Project mode in a time bound manner.

Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota (SDSC-SHAR), is the Spaceport of
India and one of the lead Centres of Indian Space Research Organisation under
Department of Space, Government of India. The Centre provides world class launch
base infrastructure to accomplish diverse Launch Vehicle and Satellite missions for
Remote Sensing, Communication, Navigation and Scientific research purposes.
Controller will be the Administrative Head of SDSC-SHAR, Sriharikota, which is having a
manpower strength of approximately 2200 employees.

Department of Space invites applications for filling up of one post of Controller
(Pay Level 14) in SDSC SHAR, Sriharikota on deputation basis. The eligibility conditions
for the post of Controller, SDSC SHAR are mentioned in Annexure-1. Further, the
deputation shall be governed by the terms and conditions stipulated in Department of
Personnel & Training (DoPT) Office Memorandum No. 6/8/2009-Estt. (Pay-II) dated
17.06.2010 as amended from time to time.

In order to reward the performance of an organization within Department of Space


and the role of the personnel in realizing it's objectives, Performance Related Incentive
Scheme (PRIS) is introduced, which is the variable component of the pay. PRIS is
awarded on the basis of the performance measured against set goals, during the period
of assessment. Accordingly, the selected officer will be eligible to get PRIS based on his
performance and other components like Attendance, APAR gradings and- Vigilance
clearance.
