And he switched it and he watched it and the fly flew away.

Instructions to song:
Firstly, teacher reads the lyrics aloud and explains and translates them, especially the use of past
tense, which children haven’t learned yet. So they shouldn’t be afraid they do not know it. Then she
plays them the song. After that she shows them what gestures they need to use to support the song.
Then she plays the song and whole class tries to sing until the end of the lesson.

Gestures to be used at particular words of the song:

Little Peter Rabbit – move your hands to your hand and show rabbit ears with fingers
had a fly upon – move hands to your shoulders and wave then like fly’s wings
his nose – point to your nose
And he switched it – toss your right hand in front of your nose
and he watched it – toss your left hand in front of your nose
and the fly flew away – move your finger in circles away from your nose
Powder puff – move your hand near to your bottom like a tail and shake your fingers
curly whiskers – move both your forefingers in circles away from your cheeks like curling whiskers
his paw – point to your hand
