A tool is a handheld device that aids in
accomplishing a task. Tools range from
a traditional metal cutting part of a
machine to an element of a computer
program that activates and controls a
particular function.

LET’S
LEARN

Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) tools - is one

of the few things you can do to damage or
destroy your computer or parts in your
computer. The best method of preventing
ESD is to use an ESD wrist strap, grounding
mat, or grounding workbench.

LET’S
LEARN

Hand tools are devices for performing work

on a material or a physical system using
hands only. The hand tools can be manually
used by employing force, or electrically
powered, using an electrical current.
Long Nose Pliers
is used for holding,
bending, and
stretching the lead
of an electronics
component or
connecting wire.
Wire Cutter is
used for cutting
copper, brass,
iron, aluminum,
and steel wires.
Flat Head
Screwdriver is
used to drive or
fasten negative
slotted screws.
Philips Head
Screwdriver is
used to drive or
fasten positive
slotted screws
Soldering iron is a
hand tool used to
join two or more
metal conductors
with the support of
soldering lead
melted around it.
Soldering Stand is
a hand tool
composed of a
heavy-duty metal
base and a
reinforced spring
holder.
Soldering Lead
is a metal or
alloy that is
used to join
together metal
workpieces.
A crimping tool is
a tool used to
conjoin two pieces
of metal by
deforming one or
both that causes it
to hold together.

LEARN

Cleaning tools - Having appropriate cleaning

tools is essential when maintaining or
repairing computers. Using these tools
ensures that computer components are not
damaged during cleaning.
A lint-free cloth is used to
clean different computer
components without
scratching or leaving
debris.
Compressed air is used to
blow away dust and
debris from different
computer parts without
touching the
components.
Cable ties are used to
bundle cables neatly
inside and outside of a
computer.
Parts organizer is used to
holding screw, jumpers,
fasteners
and other small parts and
prevents them from
getting mixed.
A paintbrush is used to
dust off the surface of
circuit boards and their
hard-to-reach areas
Isopropyl alcohol is used to
wipe away sticky substances
on the surface of
components; its quick
evaporation lessens the
chance of causing electrical
damage to components.
LET’S
LEARN

Diagnostic tools - Computers are easier to

use and more dependable with each new
generation of hardware and operating
system update, but that doesn't mean they're
problem-free. There is a wide array of
devices used to test and diagnose the
integrity of circuits and functionality of ports
of electronic equipment like computers.
Multi-tester is a tool used to
test the integrity of circuits LAN Tester is a tool
and therefore the quality of designed to check most
electricity in computer network cable wiring.
