Micropropagation is a plant tissue culture technique that enables the production of disease-free and uniform plantlets under controlled conditions, significantly advancing scientific knowledge and commercial innovation. It relies on specific culture media and environmental factors, and has applications in various fields including genetics, biochemistry, and agriculture. The technique has also facilitated the large-scale production of valuable compounds and natural substances.

INTRODUCTION
Micropropagation a powerful tool for plant production
Micropropagation is a plant tissue culture technique used to produce plantlets. It involves the aseptic culture of small tissue sections and organs in vessels with defined culture media and control environmental condition has become progressively more crucial for advancing scientific knowledge and driving commercial innovation in recent years it is the foundation on which all biotechnological research rests, because almost are uses of plant biotechnology ultimately requires the successful culture of plant cell ,tissue or organs this technique has many advantages over conventional vegetative propagation . Eg. the fast propagation of a substantial quantity of plants that are free from disease and highly uniform. the effectiveness of micropropagation is influenced by a combination of factor ,specially the makeup of the culture medium the culture condition ,and the genotype of the plant .tissue culture ,also referred to as a cell growth in vitro or sterile culture media its can play a vital role in basic studies and applied studies essentially this term broadly refers to the laboratory growth of plant cells ,tissues and organs under control condition typically medium is employed for tissue culture ,named after the pioneering researchers murashige and skoog, who developed it in collaboration with their colleagues in 1962(Gaurav et al.,2015). In 1902 Haberlandt’s groundbreaking invention of cell culture paved the way for modern plant biotechnology and his concept of cultivating plant cells in an artificial medium has secured his place in history as the “father of plant tissue culture ”. the field of plant tissue culture has witnessed tremendous progress in various domains over the past few years ,leading to its widespread implementation in agriculture and industry. plant tissue culture involves the controlled, aseptic cultivation of various plants components ,including cells, tissue, organs, in a laboratory setting optimized for growth and development (Ahmad ,2013).Plant tissue culture is also employed in research by specialists in genetics , biochemistry ,plant breeding ,plant pathology, and other fields of scientific inquiry.plant tissues culture has also shown greater efficiency in the production of secondary metabolites ,leading to its adoption in the large -scale commercial production of valuable compounds such as napthoquinone's pigments and shikonin. Plant tissue culture has also been crucial in the development of alternative sweeteners ,flavours enhancer ,natural food Coloring ,and medicinal substances (Gaurav ,et al 2016).
