Scopo (Aim)

La presente IOP descrive come aggiornare il firmware degli apparati serie 16220 (PV-
ISOTEST, PV-255s)
(this document describes how to upgrade the firmware of the 16220 series (PV-ISOTEST, PV-255s)

Operazioni: (How to do it)


1. Materiali necessari (material)
1.1. Cavo ottico/USB C2006
(Optical/USB cable C2006)
1.2. Software Upload162x0.exe
(Upload Sw Upload162x0.exe)

2. Procedura di aggiornamento firmware (Firmware upgrading procedure)


2.1. Con tasti GO/STOP e SAVE premuti, accendere lo strumento premendo il tasto
ON/OFF e poi rilasciare tutti i tasti.
(With GO/STOP and SAVE keys pressed, switch on the instrument by pushing the ON/OFF key,
then release all buttons.
2.2. Collegare C2006 alla porta USB del PC e allo strumento. Il cavo verrà associato
ad una porta seriale virtuale “USB Serial Port (ComX)” all’interno della “Gestione
Periferiche”. Il numero X deve essere 15. Se maggiore, modificarlo cliccando
col tasto dx sulla riga evidenziata → Proprietà →Impostazioni Porta →Avanzate…
(Connect C2006 to PC USB port and to the instrument. A “USB Serial Port (ComX)” virtual serial
port will be active inside the “Device Manager” section in which X number must be 15. If this is
bigger, modify it by right clicking on to the marked row → Properties → Port settings →
Advanced…)

2.3. Lanciare il software “Upload162x0.exe” e, usando il comando Serial, selezionare
il modello dello strumento, la COMMxx corrispondente alla voce “USB Serial Port”
associata al cavo C2006
(Launch the “Upload162x0.exe” program, set the Instrument Type and select the COMMxx
correspondent to the “USB Serial Port” item associated to C2006 cable by using the Serial
command)
2.4. Impostare “115200” come velocità di comunicazione
(set 115200 as baud rate)

2.5. Nella cartella Upload → Firmware del software selezionare l’opzione “All
firmware by Opto” e col tasto Browse selezionare il file “16220_vY-XX.bin” dal
PC dove “Y-xx = versione del FW”.
(In the Upload → Firmware tab of the software select the “All firmware by Opto” option and with
the Browse key select the “16220_vY-xx.bin” from the PC where “Y-xx = version of FW”)
2.6. Cliccare il tasto Prog per attivare l’operazione e attendere il completamento della
stessa
Click the Prog key to start the operation and wait until the end of it
2.7. Al termine dell’aggiornamento, premere il tasto ON/OFF per riaccendere lo
strumento e verificare la versione fw.
(At the end of the operation press the ON/OFF key to switch on the device)
2.8. Se la procedura di aggiornamento dovesse fallire, riprovare ad eseguire tutti i
passi impostando però su strumento e software di aggiornamento la velocità
57600.
(If the process fails, re-attempt again the complete procedure by setting 57600 as baud rate)
