Explanatory_Note_PGPM-HR_2021
This explanatory note provides the general administrative procedures required to be followed by
the candidates seeking admission to the PGPM-HR 2021-23 batch. The candidates are required to
strictly adhere to these stipulations, failing which the offer of admission would be revoked.
Considering the uncertainties prevailing due to COVID-19 crisis, the reporting and registration
details will be informed to you by the Programme Office and it will also be updated on our website.
It is advised to check our website regularly during that time. If the current situation continues even
in June 2021, the Institute may go for online registration process followed by online classes of
Term I. You should be ready for that with adequate internet facility, laptop with camera, etc., at
your end for uninterrupted classes. In that case, at the time of online registration, you will be
required to submit the scanned copy of following documents and application form.
a. Application form duly filled along with self-attested copies of the relevant certificates / mark
sheets.
b. Certificate relating to work experience, wherever applicable.
c. The candidates, if working, should make appropriate arrangements to be relieved from the
organization well in advance and also organize the duly signed work experience letter in
original or scanned copy (in case of online registration), as the case may be, to be submitted at
the time of registration. The Institute neither favors a particular course of action nor assumes
any responsibility in future, in this regard.
d. Undertaking from candidates appearing for a final examination of graduation (Enclosure-I)
(Please refer to Point No. 5 in the following page),
e. Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Certificate, in the approved format issued by the competent
authority, if applicable.
f. A certificate of disability issued in accordance with the Persons with Disabilities Act, 1995, if
applicable.
g. Other Backward Classes (non-creamy layer) (NC-OBC) Certificate, if applicable.

h. For EWS category, income and assets of the families would be required to be certified by an
officer not below the rank of Tehsildar in the State/UTs. (as per the criteria mentioned in O.M.
No. F. No. 12-4/2019-U1 issued by Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human
Resource Development read with O.M.F.No.20013/01/2018-BC-II issued by Ministry of
Social Justice & empowerment, Government of India), if applicable. (Please refer it for more
clarification).

j. Proof of remittance of OAA fee, Term I fee and Deposits.
You will have to produce all the original documents for verification whenever you will join IIM
Trichy in-person until such then, your admission will be provisional.
In case of in-person registration process, you will report to IIM Tiruchirappalli (IIMT) for
registration on the given registration date (to be informed later by the program office). In that case,
you will have to carry your original documents for verification and the documents will be verified
and returned to you. It will be mandatory to submit the photocopies of all the documents along
with Application Form at the time of Registration, failing which your admission shall stand
cancelled;
a. The registration date (online or in-person, as the case may be) will be considered as
the starting day of the Programme. Candidates, who have accepted admission can
withdraw the admission from the offered Programme of IIM Tiruchirappalli on or before
the registration date.
b. Candidates withdrawing the offer of admission are required to apply it through online
portal by clicking “withdraw” button. Such candidates will be refunded with the entire
amount paid by them after deducting Rs. 1,000/- as processing fee, if they withdraw on or
before the given registration date.
c. If a student withdraws within a month from the date of Registration, the amount will be
refunded after deducting one month’s tuition fee, which will be calculated taking into
account of 12 months’ tuition fee (Annual Fee/12 months X 1 month).
d. If a student withdraws after one month from the date of Registration, the amount will be
refunded after proportionate deduction.

e. If the offer of admission is withdrawn by mistake / or due to any other reason by the
candidate, re-admission will not be considered under any circumstances. Hence, we
request the candidate to be very careful while withdrawing the offer.
f. It is once again reiterated that if anyone is withdrawing the offer of admission, after
the given registration date, the refund will be made based on the Institute’s Refund
Policy as mentioned above.
If you are appearing/have appeared for final examination of graduation and are yet to be awarded
the Bachelor’s Degree, this offer of admission is provisional and subject to the following:
a. At the time of your registration, you must produce a certificate in original from the
College/University that you have completed all examinations/you are appearing for final
semester/year exams and other requirements necessary to enable you to obtain a Bachelor’s
Degree, by 30th September 2021, which may be reviewed by the Programme Office depending
on the situation at that time.
b. You must produce final mark sheets (in original) in proof of having passed the Bachelor’s
Degree examination with requisite percentage/class, before the expiry of grace period, that is,
on or before 30th September 2021, which may be reviewed by the Programme Office
depending on the situation at that time.
a.
Failure to comply with provisions of point no. 3 (a) and 3 (b) will automatically result in
cancellation of the Provisional Admissions in the Programme offered to you. These provisions
cannot be relaxed and the Institute will not entertain any correspondence/request, in this regard
and no claim for refund of fees will be entertained.

Note:
a. Total Fees (tuition, course material, etc.) for the second year will be Rs. 8,25,000/- and
will follow a similar schedule. Mess Advance is also payable in each term. This fee
may be subject to change depending on the actual mess expenses.
b. The fees for the first-year indicated above, excluding GST and any other taxes. Such
taxes, if made applicable by Government of India in the future, will be collected from
students at the prescribed rates.
c. All students will be required to open a bank account with State Bank of India at the
IIM Tiruchirappalli Branch.
d. On the day of in-person Registration, many banks will put up their stalls for education
loan facility. (In case of online Registration, the Institute will share the details of Banks
and their contact details to the Offered Candidates). You are welcome to avail the
facility, if needed. Decision for sanctioning of education loan is purely on the
discretion of the Banks. IIM Tiruchirappalli has no role in this.
5. Accommodation:
You will be provided a hostel room on single occupancy basis. Rooms will have provision for air
conditioning during night (for limited time), and essential furniture such as cot, table, chair and
wardrobe. Please arrange for your own mattresses, pillows, bed-sheets, blankets, curtains,
mosquito net, etc.
Kindly note that family accommodation cannot be provided in the campus, only single occupancy
rooms will be provided.
6. Student Discipline:

Students are encouraged not to bring their two / four wheeler with them as use of motorized
vehicles by students inside the campus for intra-campus commuting is prohibited. Students are
expected to maintain discipline, decorum and appropriate standards of behavior in their academic
work. They are also expected to maintain good interpersonal relations among themselves, and are
bound by the rules laid down by the Institute from time to time. Students violating these rules are
liable for disciplinary action, including expulsion. In case of expulsion due to disciplinary reason,
no refund of fees would be made either in part or in full.
7. Orientation Programme:
After review of the ongoing scenario to decide the registration date, the detailed schedule of the
preparatory classes (only for applicable candidates), registration, followed by the orientation
programme will be informed by the Programme Office. All students must compulsorily attend all
the sessions in the Orientation Programme. Regular classes will commence immediately after the
orientation programme.
8. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information provided to the Institute in your
application form and all other documents. The consequences of incorrect information may include
cancellation of the admission offer/admission.
9. All disputes and differences arising out of or in connection with this Offer of Admission shall
be settled within Tiruchirappalli City Jurisdiction.
