OFFICIAL TOURNAMENT RULEBOOK

01. GENERAL RULES


●​ All participants must adhere to fair play and sportsmanship.
●​ The use of cheats, hacks, or any form of unfair advantage will result in immediate
disqualification.
●​ The organizers will not be responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to the participant’s
personal belongings/items during the event.
●​ Players must follow the guidelines provided by the tournament organizers.

02. DISCONNECTION / ABANDONING


●​ Players are responsible for maintaining a stable internet connection.
●​ If a player disconnects during a match, the game will continue without pauses.
●​ Any hacking allegations must be supported with POV and death replay recordings and
submitted to the admins.

03. PRE-MATCH RULES


●​ Team leaders must keep their team informed about announcements and updates.
●​ Players must be in their designated slots at least 5 minutes before the match starts.
●​ Recording POV is mandatory. Management is not responsible for technical issues after
the match begins.
●​ If an unknown player is in your slot, report it to the admins/event coordinators before the
match starts.
●​ NO REMATCH policy applies in cases of hacking or missed matches.

04. IN-GAME RULES


●​ The tournament will be played in BGMI, ensure your game is updated before joining and
all the maps are downloaded.
●​ Only tournament administrators are allowed to spectate, other spectators are prohibited.
●​ If a player disconnects, they must attempt to reconnect immediately/inform the
management team immediately.The match will not be restarted/paused.
●​ Teams must be fully prepared throughout the tournament.
●​ Self-revive and Emergency Pickup are prohibited.

05. RESULTS
●​ Each player is responsible for taking and saving screenshots of match results.
●​ Admins may request screenshots at any time after the match ends.
●​ Failure to provide a screenshot = 0 Points.
06. DEVICE RULES
●​ Android Devices: Devices must not be rooted.
●​ iOS Devices: Devices must not be jailbroken.
●​ General Device Rules:
○​ Players must not use any VPN, GFX Tools, or any type of configuration mods.
○​ The use of iPad View, FOV modification, or any setting outside of the official
in-game settings is strictly prohibited.
○​ Violating these rules will result in immediate disqualification without any scope for
appeal.
○​ Device Verification: By participating, players agree to have their devices
thoroughly checked before matches and after any allegations from another team
to ensure competitive integrity and fairness. Refusing to comply may result in
disqualification.

07. PROPERTY DAMAGE RULE


●​ Any damage caused to the property of MIT Art Design and Technology University will
result in a severe fine and immediate disqualification of the responsible team.

08. CONDUCT RULE


●​ Showing aggression towards the management team for any reason will result in
disqualification of the entire team.
●​ Physical fights or heated arguments between teams will not be tolerated. Friendly banter
is allowed but must not cross the line or become offensive.
●​ Any team found violating this rule will face severe penalties or disqualification.

09. FINE SYSTEM


●​ After the first violation by any player or team, a warning will be issued.
●​ If the same player or team repeats the violation, a fine of Rs. 2000 per team will be
imposed, along with disqualification from the tournament.
●​ No appeal or reconsideration will be entertained for repeated violations.

10. ADMIN RIGHTS


●​ Admins have the authority to make final decisions regarding any disputes.
●​ Admins may overrule any rule based on the situation.
●​ The organizer's decision is final after the appeal process.

By participating, all players agree to abide by these rules. Any violation may result in
disqualification or penalties as determined by the tournament organizers.

SELF-DECLARATION FORM​
COGNISANCE 3.0 – BGMI

I, the undersigned, hereby declare that I have read and understood all the rules and regulations
set forth for the Cognisance 3.0 BGMI Event and agree to abide by them. I acknowledge the
following terms and conditions:

1.​ Reporting Time: I will ensure my presence at the venue at the designated reporting
time as communicated by the organizers. Failure to report on time may lead to
disqualification.
2.​ Internet Connectivity: The event provides WiFi connectivity with 1 GBPS speed and up
to an extent. However, I understand that network stability is not guaranteed, and I am
responsible for managing my own connectivity issues.
3.​ Code of Conduct: I will maintain decorum and sportsmanship throughout the event. Any
use of abusive language, toxic behavior, or misconduct will result in immediate
action, including penalties or disqualification.
4.​ Fine for Misconduct: I acknowledge that I will be liable for fines or penalties in case of:
○​ Damage to event property or equipment.
○​ Wastage of time due to unnecessary delays caused by me.
○​ Cheating or use of unfair means, including unauthorized software, scripts, or
hacks.
5.​ VPN, GFX Tools, Jailbroken or Rooted Devices, Unauthorized Software, etc: I
understand that the use of VPNs, GFX Tools, Jailbroken or Rooted Devices,
Unauthorized Software, or any unauthorized software/tools, mod apks is strictly
prohibited. If caught using a VPN, I agree to face severe penalties, including
disqualification and a heavy fine.
6.​ Organizer’s Authority: I accept that the organizers’ decisions will be final and binding.
Any disputes will be resolved at the sole discretion of the event committee.
