CREATION OF COMPANY

1. Press Ctrl + F3 to shut previous company and then press Hot key S to
Select company C to Create company
2. Filled all the details of company & Accept the screen by Ctrl + A
3. You can select same company by pressing select company

ALTERATION & MODIFICATION OF COMPANY

1. Open gateway of tally and Press Alt + K for Company – Alter – Enter
2. Make Changes and press Ctrl + A
3. Press Alt + D to Delete Company.

1. Create a new company & Go to Create- Show more- Show inactive
2. Cost Category – Create Salesman, Accountant, etc.
3. Cost Centres – Create Employees name.
4. Go to Payment Voucher & Pass the paid salary entry.
5. Check reports in Display – Account books – Payment Register.

ADJUSTMENTS (F7 – JOURNAL)

1. Depreciate furniture & fixtures & Machinery.

given (like quantity rate per) then we have to do purchase entry in
purchase voucher.

For sales – when there is information related sales is not given

2. Go to voucher & press F5 Bank Payment & F6 Bank

Only bank entries comes under this voucher.

MANUFACTURING JOURNAL

Manufacturing Journal is used when we manufacture


finished goods by using raw materials.

STEPS:-
1. Create a New Co. & Go to Create. – Voucher
types – Manufacturing Journal under Stock
Journal
2. Press yes to use as manufacturing journal option
on voucher creation screen.
3. Go to vouche`r – press Alt+F7 – select
Manufacturing Journal
4. Create Stock item & add details of Batch & expiry
dates. Add all raw materials in consumption tab
& labour overheads cost in cost of components.
5. Check report in Stock Summary.

POS (POINT OF SALE)

POS is used for in retail business or counter sales.

STEPS:-
1) Create a new company & go to Create – voucher types –
POS under sales.
2) Set printing & Invoice configuration – yes & put all details.
3) Go to voucher – press F8 sales
4) Party name – not applicable.
5) Items with Quantity & Rate.
6) Payment details at bottom and accept voucher.
7) Check reports – display – Account books – sales register.

DISCOUNT

Discount is used when we receive or give discounts from


party & it is to be shown in invoices.

STEPS:-

1) Activate discount column on invoices – yes in F11-


Inventory Features
2) Go to voucher – purchase or sales
3) The separate discount column should be appear on the
invoice.

INTEREST CALCULATION

Interest Calculation is used when we take or give


loan from business.

STEPS:-

1. Activate interest calculations – yes in F11 (Features).


2. Create ledger named loan from Bank (Secured Loan)
& yes to Activate Interest Calculation.
3. Fill all details about rate & period with opening
balance.
4. Check reports in display – A/C books – Ledger – Loan
from bank - press Ctrl+H – interest calculation.
5. Change period to check interest amount
6. Loan paid & Interest Paid entry comes under
Payment voucher.
7. Check reports in display – Account books – ledger.

BUDGET
Budget is used to estimate expenses, losses, profits and Gains for the
next financial year.

STEPS:-

1) Create a new company & Go to Create- Show more-


Show inactive
2) Go to Budget – Create – Office expense.
3) Put 1 year period & ledger – yes
4) Create expenses ledger (Indirect Expenses) with closing
estimate amount.
5) Pass Actual Entries in Payment Voucher.
6) Check reports in display – Trial Balance – Indirect
expenses & press F10 – Budget Variance
7) Estimate Actual & different amount will be shown with

FREE GOODS

Free goods is used when we receive free goods or give free


goods to any party.

STEPS:-
1. Create a new company & activate actual and billed quantity –
yes in F11 Features -- Inventory Features.
2. Go to vouchers – purchase/sales voucher
3. Two column will show, one column actual quantity and second
billed.
4. Put physical quantity in Actual Quantity and invoice quantity in
bill quantity separating
5. Taxes are applicable on Billed quantity not on physical quantity.
6. Check Inventory Report in Stock summary.

PHYSICAL STOCK

If you tallied quantity stock physically then you have to


pass separate entry for physical stock.
STEPS:-
1. Go to Vouchers - F10(Other Vouchers)
2. Press Ctrl+F7 physical stock voucher.
3. Put items with quantity in this voucher.

OPTIONAL VOUCHERS
Optional vouchers are used if you don’t want to show effect of
the entry anyone in reports instead of deleting of voucher.
STEPS:-
1) Select specific voucher you want to delete.
2) Press Ctrl+L to make voucher optional & accept the voucher.
3) Check optional voucher in Display – Exception Reports –
optional vouchers.

ZERO VALUED
If you want to accept purchase and sales voucher without
putting any value the use zero values option.

STEPS:-
1. Activate zero valued option in Alter – Voucher type – Sales –
Allow Zero valued transaction – yes – Accept.
2. Go to Purchase and Sales voucher & accept it without putting
any price.

MULTIPLE GROUPS & LEDGERS

Multiple Groups is used when we want to create extra


groups rather than 28 pre-define group.
For e.g.
 Local Creditors & outside creditors under sundry creditors
 Local Debtors & outside Debtors under sundry Debtors
 Cash sales & Credit sales under sales
STEPS:-
Go to Chart of Accounts
Groups- Alt+H(Multi masters) –Multi Create

Multiple Ledger is used when we want to create Multiple


Ledger under one group.
For e.g.
 Fixed Assets – Furniture, Building, Machinery, etc.
 Indirect exp. – Salary, Rent, Printing & Stationery, etc.
STEPS:-
 Go to Chart of Accounts
 Ledgers- Alt+H(Multi masters) –Multi Create

BANK RECONCILATION

Bank Reconciliation is used to reconcile every transaction of Bank.


Steps:
1. Create a new co. & pass bank entries in Vouchers.
2. To reconcile bank entries Go to Display – Account books –
Ledger – Bank Account
3. Press Alt+R for Bank Reconciliation & put bank date in the
active field & Accept the screen.
4. Company book & Bank book should always Tally.

PRICE LEVEL
Price level is used to dealing in multiple products for sale, a list of all the items along
with price details in maintained for the purpose of reference.
Steps:
1. Create a new co. & Go to F11 (Features) – Enable Multiple price level? – yes
2. Use discount column in invoices – yes.
3. Go to Create – Price levels – create – (Old customer / New Customer)

COMPANY LOGO

Company logo is used on sales invoices of business.

STEPS:-

1. Create a company Select Alt +p and go to


configuration.
2. Include company logo enter and yes
3. Go to image file name. And select for drive. Go to
file C:\ then D; \. Select the image name and enter.
4. Open any sales invoice & press control + P and I-
preview. And Alt + Z in zoom.
PAYROLL

Payroll is used to maintain Salary details of each


employees in a company. It includes all salary structure
includes salary reports such as Basic Salary, DA, HRA, PF, LIC,
PT, ESIC, etc. & Attendance reports , Salary slips, Deduction
Statement.
STEPS:-
1. Create a new company & Active Payroll & Payroll category from
F11 payroll yes.

2. Go to gateway of Tally-Payroll
3. Create employees groups as Department name, e.g. Acc. Dept.,
Sales dept., Marketing dept., etc.
4. Create employees as every employees name with details.
5. Create Unit as Dys, Hrs & min.
6. Attendance – Present (Leave with pay)
Absent (Leave without pay)
7. Create pay heads Basic salary, DA, HRA, TA under Earning from
employees.
8. Create pay heads as PF, ESIC (Employee State Insurance
Corporation), LIC, PT, IT, Loans to employees under Deduction
for Employees.
9. Create salary details of every employees should include above
pay heads.
10. Go to Payroll voucher –Press Ctrl+F4 Attendance & press F10–
Payroll voucher
11. Add all pay heads in it & accept the Entry.
12. Check reports in display –Payroll reports.
13. Pay Slip-For employees Pay slip
14. Pay Sheet-For pay head wise reports of Earning &
Deductions
15. Payroll statement-detailed salary structure.
16. Payroll register-Employees attendance & salary register.

INTER-STATE PURCHASE
1. Create party name – sundry creditor, interstate purchase 18%
with purchase rate details.
2. Select item & create input IGST under duties and taxes with
rate details.
LOCAL SALES (F8)
1. Create party name – sundry debtors, local sales 18% under
sales with rate details.
2. Select item & create output SGST 9% & CGST 9% under duties
and taxes with rate details.
INTERSTATE SALES
1. Create party name: sundry debtors, interstate sales under sales
with rate details.
2. Select item and create output IGST under duties and taxes with
rate details.

SALES ORDER:
1. Press Alt + F5 for sales order (GST not applicable)
2. Press Alt + f8 for delivery note. When you delivered goods
against Sales order (GST is not applicable)
3. Activate delivery & receipt note in F11F2 Inventory features.
4. Activate rejection in & rejection Out in F11F2
5. If goods are damaged and return by customer entry will come
under rejection in voucher in inventory voucher.
6. After this process entry will come under sales voucher. (GST is
applicable in this voucher.
7. Check report for purchase/sales order. Receipt/delivery note.
Rejection in/out is display Daybook or in Inventory books or
statement of inventory.
