Performance Task 3
From among the five phases of Teaching Internship, which seems to be difficult? Why?
 Observation and relationship building appeared to be a difficult phase for me because in order to
build a strong relationship with your students, you must first understand their culture, beliefs,
interests, and background. It is difficult in the case of online teaching because I only see my
students on a computer or a device, so I don't know what their wants or likes are, and I don't even
know what kind of demeanor they have inside and outside of the classroom.

WRITING MY REFLECTION

How can I enjoy my Teaching Internship to the fullest?

 I've wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl. I know I want to work in education as a
teacher because I want to help people and share my knowledge with my future students. If you
are passionate about teaching or if you love teaching, you will enjoy it even if it is tiring because
seeing the students learn something new every day is a great reward for our hard work as
teachers. I understand that teaching is a big task, but I am willing to put in the effort every day so
that students can obtain the excellent education that they feel entitled.

Performance Task 3
Keeping a daily reflection journal
Reflection Journals are personal accounts or records of all your learning experiences. These
are your insights and learnings gained in the teaching-learning processes. These are records of events
which are pleasant or unpleasant that you can reflect on and learn from. It can help you assess the
important learning events that happened in your teaching which can direct you to improve your
professional career. Your reflection briefly summarizes your ideas, thoughts, feelings and emotions
which will lead to analyze and improve on your decisions and actions. You need to write reflections
regularly to motivate you to learn and enjoy the process of learning.
As you move on with your task as a Practice Teacher, you need to write your daily reflection
journal.
You may now start writing your reflection.

I had a great time observing our virtual cooperating teacher class. I felt
supported from the start, and she gave me the confidence I needed to keep going. I
believe I am capable of developing relationships, planning, and managing my time.
Interacting with students in a virtual class is excellent, and it's a fantastic environment
for getting to know them better and forming relationships with them, as I saw when I
saw our cooperating teacher's courses via virtual platform. My cooperating teacher
took the time to show me how she creates a detailed lesson plan, and I learned a lot
from her. As a result, I was able to effectively organize my lesson plan by utilizing
understanding by design. My time management abilities have clearly improved when
planning as a result of the virtual observation. I had a great time observing in the virtual
class of my cooperating teachers. The changes I'd make are minor and
straightforward, but the lessons I've learned are invaluable.

WRITING MY REFLECTION
After observing the classes of your Cooperating Teacher whether in face-to-face or in distance
delivery mode, what aspects in the instructional cycle do you think you are now capable of doing and
the areas you still need to improve?
The instructional materials bring learning to life after observing our Cooperating Teacher's
classes and motivating learners to learn. The use of instructional materials in the classroom can help
the teacher explain new concepts more effectively, resulting in a better understanding of the concepts
being taught by the students. ICT tools, on the other hand, contribute to high-quality lessons by
enhancing students' interest, linking students to a variety of information sources, promoting active in-
class and out-of-class learning environments, and freeing up teachers' time for facilitation. When
discussing the lesson, I easily capture the attention of the learners and respond immediately to their
questions about the lesson. I believe that the areas in which I need to improve are confidence and oral
communication skills that are appropriate for the medium of instruction.

During asynchronous or modular class sessions, what routines can you suggest to the parents

Design an effective class routine which parents can use at home.

The routines which I can offer to parents during asynchronous sessions in

order for the students to have more effective learning outcomes are that parents
should be good communicators and utter a word with their children in an appropriate
way. It is also essential for parents to develop their own skills and abilities in order to
provide their children with the best learning opportunities possible. To keep things
simple, I'll ask about the parents of the children and what they do on a daily basis to
encourage them to help their children. For example, tell the parents whether there
are any parts of the routine that the child can complete on their own or with a little
assistance — and then allow them to do so. Parents, on the other hand, should be
adaptable, in my personal view. I'll also motivate parents to give their children
alternatives for activities or routine tasks whenever conceivable.

Having effective class routines and sound class structure is important because:
It's essential to determine why we're doing it and how we're going to do it. In terms of routines,
this entails examining our practices with this question in mind. These routines assist you in maintaining
order while also assisting the children in remaining calm. You will be more productive if you have a set

reasons.

Differentiated instructions benefits our learners because
It helps learners and learning in every conceivable way. Students believe that their
teacher upholds, endorses, and acknowledges in their ability to learn. The teacher also
recognizes that each student is unique and actively considers these differences when
planning and teaching a class. There is consistency about the extremely vital things
students are expected to learn in a differentiated classroom.

As a future teacher, I can employ the following strategies in my classes

 JIGSAW – apply specific pieces of information to groups to learn and teach to others.
 LEARNING COACH- one student attempts a skill while the other provides

 GALLERY WALK – students display their ideas or work on the "wall." Rotating groups

groups of students. Bring up and distribute your findings.
 SONG – make use of music or song to gain knowledge or build confidence.
