differently (e.g. Sunday, SUN, S),
but in the same order: Sunday,
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Friday – Fri
Saturday – Sat
Note: Explain the meaning of
“abbreviated” or “abbreviation.” Say
that sometimes, in some calendars,
the days of the week are abbreviated
by using just the first letter of day’s
name, such as “S” for Sunday. Some
calendars write Sunday as “Su” and
Saturday as “Sa” to differentiate
them. Tuesday and Thursday may be
written as T and Th, respectively.
Although the
days of the week may be written in
different ways in various calendars,
they are always written or listed in
the correct order.The numbers in the
calendar are used to tell the date.
The date generally consists of three
parts: the (numbered) day of the
month, the month, and the year. An
example of a date is April 1, 2024.
