2. FEEDBACK REPORT EXAMPLE
Overview
There were 10 sessions that were held during the month. The average attendance rate was about
50%. The breakdown of the lessons have been outlined below:
Lesson 01 – Wednesday 31-08-2022
7 learners attended this session. We discussed Euclidean Geometry where we solved questions
on the application of theorems. There was some feedback from the learners during the lesson
that indicated that they had some prior knowledge. In instances where they struggle, I come in
to assist and also clear some misconceptions that they had.
Lesson 02 – Thursday 01-09-2022
We continued with Euclidean Geometry but this time focused in the proofs that were
examinable. I took them through all the proofs and highlighted tips that they need to remember
when approaching each proof. I encouraged them to master them because there will be at least
one proof during their exam and they need to be able to work it out. There were 6 learners
present for this lesson. I gave them a short test to ascertain whether they had understood the
work done. It is however sad to note that pass percentage for this test is 16.67%. The results
are shown below:
No NAME OF LEARNER MARK (%)
1 TANTSI ATHI 19.23
2 GOBINGCA MLAMLI 26.92
3 NGOQO SOPHE 30.77
4 SITHOLE SIVE 15.38
5 NAKELE SINOKHANYO 11.54

fundamental concepts of statistics in the next lesson. 9 learners partook in this lesson with
some coming late.
Lesson 05 – Wednesday 14-09-2022
7 learners were present for this class. This lesson was dedicated to review the concepts in
statistics. We started with grade 10 and 11 concepts and later went through the grade 12
concepts. The learners were also taught how to use the calculator in determining mean, standard
deviation, etc for ungrouped and grouped data. They were given some questions to solve as
homework.
Lesson 06 – Thursday 15-09-2022
The lesson was started by reviewing the problems they had in the homework. After that they
were given some test to ascertain how they have understood the concepts. The pass percentage
is 66.67%. The results of the short test are shown below:
No NAME OF LEARNER MARK (%)
1 TANTSI ATHI 33.33
2 GOBINGCA MLAMLI 58.33
3 CHULUMANCO NKOSANA 41.67
4 SITHOLE SIVE 33.33
5 NOMOYI SIMPHIWE 16.67
6 SEYISI SIVE 0

Lesson 09 – Wednesday 28-09-2022
This lesson focused on the revision of number patterns and functions since learners were
preparing for their MOCK examinations. We used a sample past paper for the revision purpose.
The paper was posted in advance on the whatsapp group for them to solve and note challenging
areas which they then present to the tutor for support. It is sad to note that only 3 learners were
present for this lesson.
Lesson 10 – Thursday 29-09-2022
This was the last revision before they write their MOCK exams. The lesson focused on calculus
and exponential functions. 5 learners were present for this lesson.
Positives
The learners are respectful and do not cause any problems during tutoring. There is contribution
to work being done and they ask questions where they do not understand.
Challenges
The attendance is not encouraging.
Some also come late to class.
Some learners also have very little or no knowledge on the content.
Some learners struggle to understand the questions due to language barrier and this is
evident when they have to ask questions or explain a concept to the class in English.
Learners do not practice after class and this is evident because some do not submit their
homework or even ask questions outside of normal class hours.
Learners seem demotivated because the enthusiasm to work is very little.
Way forward
For better results to be achieved, the learners need to be treated as if they were in grade 12 of
High School.
The number of hours need to be increased to at least the normal hours per week for
Mathematics in High School i.e 4.5 hours.
The learners need to be taught the grade 12 syllabus again from scratch since most of
them had very poor results during their matric.
Learners must be given contracts in which they need to meet certain laid down rules to
continue to be part of the program. For example, punctuality and submission of work.
If possible, there should be textbooks or other resources available for them to borrow
for their personal practice.
There must be an accepted year plan where learners and tutors are aware of what topics
need to be treated, time frame for each topic, tests that have to be written and other
tasks that need to be submitted.
There should be regular tutor evaluation from learners so that the tutors can also
improve in areas where they may be lacking.
