The Department of Political Science, Nagaland University (A Central
University), HQRS: Lumami in collaboration with National Institute of Disaster
Management, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi with immense
pleasure invite your contribution of a chapter in a edited volume/book entitled,
“Understanding and Analyzing Child Centered Disaster Risk Management: A
Multidisciplinary Approach”.

The Aim and Objectives:


The aim and objectives the proposed book/volume is to focus the followings:
❖ To describe the Disaster Management Framework or Mechanism in India.
❖ To understand the different elements or factors of Disaster Risk Management in India.
❖ To evaluate the impact of disasters on different sectors of society in India such as
social, cultural, population, economy etc.
❖ To enumerate the list of activities to protect the children and their rights.

❖ To install skills among the children and their guardians in Disaster Risk Management
Activities.
❖ To understand the process of psychological care for children in and after disasters.
❖ To explain the use of technology in managing the impact of disasters among the
children.
❖ To devise the process and technique of mainstreaming the child-centric risk
management.
❖ To explain the role of the political system in reducing the child centric disaster risks
in India.

Note: Above mentioned topics are to refer rather fixed. We believe in academic freedom
hence Scholars can frame the topic under the prescribed theme.

Call for Chapters/Chapter:


We are pleased to invite Academicians, Research Scholars, Practitioners, Policy
Makers, Industry Experts, Entrepreneurs, and Professionals to share their valuable thoughts
on the above proposed themes in unpublished research articles, Case studies and conceptual
papers/chapters for the proposed edited volume. We highly appreciate and encourage the
chapters that introduce new theories, concepts and insights in the articles. The Submitted
chapter will go through blind review by the expert committee and acceptance of the chapter
will be communicated within three weeks or 20 days whichever is earlier. The selected
chapters will be published in an edited volume by the publisher of International repute with
ISBN No. There is no fee/charge for the contributor to this proposed edited book/Volume.

Guidelines for Esteemed Contributors:


➢ First/Cover Page: Title of the paper, Name of the Authors, Designation,
Institutional/Professional Affiliations, Email and Mobile Number and the abstract.
➢ The Abstract should be in italics and should be limited to 200-250 words reflecting the
purpose of the research, methodology used, findings, practical implications and five key
words related to the content of the chapter.
➢ The submitted Full chapter should be limited to 3000-4000 (maximum) words including
references, credits, necessarily without plagiarism and controversial content.
