TO MY VOICE
PROJECT
DUE FEB 10 OR 11
GOAL: TO HELP YOU THINK ABOUT HOW SCIENCE IMPACTS YOUR WORLD
AND HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR WORLD WITH YOUR HEART AND VOICE!

What your Presentation should have.


1. Title page with the person/Persons you have chosen to do with a picture or
more And why you chose this Topic or why what they did interests you.
2. TOPIC PAGE(s) : Describes the Topic you picked and why… Pick
Something you Love, Hate, something that Connects with your
identity or feel strongly about regarding Social Justice and Science.
Examples: How is Climate Change impacting our world, (Pick a sub
topic- Fires, Ocean Life, water shortage, Floods, etc.), use of AI in
Social Media, Use of AI by Police (biased feedback loops) , Use of
Robots by Police to Kill suspects, Lack of Use of Gender based
research when needed (Like women with Seat belts or Medicines),
Misuse of Racial based medicine when not needed, like C- Sections
for People of color, How the Government uses Spending on science,
or Not and what impact it could have,
3. Research Slide(s) : Do Research to Find out what Science says about your
topic. Try to find multiple sources for your view.
4. What Can be done to make this thing better? What are things that
could be done to minimize the injustice you see… Try to be specific so
you can have a measurable impact. Don’t just say make things more
equitable for females, but say we can mitigate females being injured
in car crashed by mandating testing on cars utilize effective Female
crash test dummies.
5. What you are doing to do about it? Express your Voice… Make your
own- solution… from your voice. Ex. 1. Share the Problem- You could use
a spoken word about/song/art or commenting on any event/discovery from
your time line- i.e. Why you think it is important. 2. Write a Congressperson,
3. Make a webpage to share what others can do?, 4. Raise money for a group
that supports your voice, etc.
6. Conclusion about the project: What they Enjoyed, What still needs to
happened, How this topic might impact you later in life.
7. Slide of sources Use APA Format or Just a links for now.
