All Camps - Position pref [Day Camps] Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Applicant
Camp AGQ is currently organized into two sides of camp: Northside and Southside. Northside has
historically been a home for campers who have an affinity to the female space, while Southside
has historically been a home for campers who have an affinity to the male space. Campers and
Staff are welcome to live in the space of their choice.

In an effort to provide a more inclusive camp experience for campers of all genders, gender
expressions and gender identities, an All Gender Housing option will be available Sessions 2, 3
and 4.

We ask that the applicant decide where they would feel most comfortable/open to living during
their employment at AGQ.

We will be happy to discuss living arrangements for all applicants during the interview portion
of the hiring process.

"Lifeguard Information"
Camp can always use more lifeguards! If you are interested in working on the waterfront or being
able to take campers swimming you must be a certified lifeguard.
Classes for camp staff are historically offered at the Ann Arbor YMCA in April, May, and June -
these classes are FREE to Camp Staff!

Information about classes will come out with contracts. We prefer YMCA Lifeguard Certifications.
If you live out of town or are unable to attend a YMCA Lifeguard course we do accept Red Cross
Lifeguard Certifications.

Positions *REQUIRING* lifeguard certification Include:

Waterfront Director, Asst. Waterfront Director, Day Trips Director, Waterskiing Instructor,
Sailing Instructor, Swimming Instructor, and Canoeing Instructor.
