Q-1) Define intramural and extramural.

• Intramural
Activities that take place within a school or institution,
such as sports competitions, house competitions, and
school athlete meets. The purpose of intramural
activities is to provide opportunities for as many
students as possible to participate in sports and to
create interest in school sports. Intramural activities
can also help students develop leadership qualities and
relieve stress.
• Extramural
Activities that take place outside of a school or
institution, such as sports competitions, friendly
matches, and practice matches with other
schools. Only selected students from the school
participate in extramural activities. The main aim of
extramural activities is to develop a sense of unity and
brotherhood.

Q-2) List indoor and outdoor games. Briefly explain


them.

1. Chess

the 6th century as "Chaturanga." It spread to
Persia and later to Europe, evolving into modern
chess.
2. Carrom

4. Snooker/Billiards
