Installation: Check basic position of
camshaft.
9 Remove camshafts. AR05.20-P-6992GY
10 Remove heat shields (3) over the exhaust
manifold.
11 Remove sliding rail bolt (7). AR01.30-P-5800-04TI
Where there is a slide rail pin (7) on right
next to oil filter housing in crankcase, remove
this similar to slide rail pins (7) in cylinder
head. This ensures that the left slide rail is
movable.

12 Loosen cylinder head bolts in stages and Tightening procedure for cylinder head bolts AR01.30-P-5800-01GY
remove.
Removal:
Unfasten cylinder head bolts in reverse order
of tightening procedure once engine has
cooled down.
Otherwise, the cylinder heads (1, 2) will be
distorted.
Installation:
Pay attention to tightening procedure and
tightening specifications for the cylinder head
bolts.
Otherwise, the cylinder heads (1, 2) will be
distorted.
Oil cylinder head bolts at the thread and
bolt head contact surface.

13 Remove right cylinder head (1) and left
cylinder head (2).

14 Remove exhaust manifold. When installing a new right cylinder head (1)
or left cylinder head (2).

Clean
15 Clean threaded holes and sealing surfaces. Clean threaded holes and sealing surfaces
on the crankcase, right cylinder head (1), and
left cylinder head (2).
Check
16 Check cylinder head bolts and replace if AR01.30-P-5800-03GY
necessary.

17 Install in the reverse order.
