Technology
Hello, today I would like to talk about technology and how it is changing our lives. Let’s start by
looking at two images. The first shows humans landing on the Moon, one of the greatest
achievements in science, enabling space exploration. The second image shows a robot playing
chess, with a man standing beside it. This represents the progress of technology, as robots can now
perform complex tasks and compete with humans. These images reflect different stages of
technology’s development: one from the past, the other from the present and future.
The biggest technological advancement in the last twenty years is artificial intelligence (AI). AI is
used in fields like medicine, where it helps doctors diagnose diseases more accurately. It’s also
transforming transportation, with self-driving cars being developed to make roads safer. These
examples show how AI is improving daily life and making tasks easier.
However, rapid technological progress also brings challenges. While it helps us communicate
instantly through social media and video calls, it can also reduce face-to-face interactions. Many
people now prefer texting over speaking in person, which can make social communication harder.
Some jobs might disappear in the future due to technology. While simple, repetitive jobs are most at
risk, even creative professions might be affected by AI. AI can now write stories, create paintings,
and compose music. This means that even people in artistic fields may compete with machines.
Am I optimistic about the future of technology? Yes, because it benefits important areas like
medicine, science, and education. Better technology helps doctors treat patients, researchers find
solutions to global problems, and students learn in more interactive ways. However, technology can
also affect our communication skills. If we spend too much time online instead of talking face-to-
face, we might forget how to have real conversations. It’s important to use technology wisely to
improve our lives without harming social skills.
To sum up, technology has both positive and negative sides. It moves us forward, but also brings
new problems. The key is to use it wisely so that it benefits people rather than harms them.
