Hockey India has announced Harendra Singh as the chief coach of the Indian’s
men’s team, while Dutchman Sjoerd Marijne returns to the women’s camp.
Edulji had played 20 Tests and 34 ODIs in a career spanning over 17 years,
taking 63 and 46 wickets respectively.
She played at a time when the game was run by Women's Cricket Association of
India (WCAI)
Presently, Edulji is a part of the Supreme Court-appointed Committee of
Administrators (CoA) running Indian cricket.

PC Chandra Puraskaar
Legendary singer Asha Bhosle was honoured with the 26th PC Chandra
Puraskaar.
She received the award for her contribution in the field of Indian music.
Asha Bhosle’s career spans over 70 years.

WBC Asia Boxer of the Year – Neeraj Goyat
Indian pugilist Neeraj Goyat has been conferred with the WBC Asia Boxer of the
Year Award.

Neeraj is the current WBC Asia champion in the welter weight category.
Since turning pro in 2011, Neeraj has won nine fights including two knockouts.
The 15-year-old Lalrinnunga created two new national record in Youth boys and
junior men category by lifting weight of 250 kg in total.
Sidhant Gogoi, 14, finished with bronze medal with a lift of 243 kg in Youth Boys
section.
Two Indian women athletes from Orissa, Jhilli Dalabehera clinched the silver
medal in junior women after lifting 166 kg, while Sneha Soren lifted 145 kg to
bag the bronze medal in Youth Girls.
Bhavani Devi had won a gold medal at the Reykjavik tournament in 2017 to
become the first Indian to do so in an international fencing event.
Khanna remains the only Indian to win gold at the continental championships
