The site visit to Dhumbarahi Complex on January 27, 2025, aimed to assess site conditions for construction and evaluate potential obstructions. Key observations included proximity to a high tension tower and the need for a shear wall due to elevation differences. Recommendations suggest optimizing excavation depth to enhance access and reduce protection work requirements.

Site Visit Report

Visited by: Bishal Karki( Director)

Pratyusha Piya( Architect)
Pallavi Shrestha (Architect)
Sanu Kumar Shah( Civil Engineer)
Subhekshya Shrestha (Structural Engineer)

Site: Dhumbarahi Complex

Date: 27 Jan 2025
Time: 11:30-2:00

Purpose of visit:
1. To assess the existing site condition and evaluate its suitability for construction activities.
2. To verify the feasibility of protection pile depth and location.
3. To identify and address any potential obstruction prior to commencement of structural
work.

Observation:
1. The eastern side of the site is in close proximity to high tension tower exposing potential
risk to the foundation excavation and the erection of reinforcement in some grids.
2. The eastern side of the site is approximately one storey lower to adjacent land requiring
construction of shear wall upto the ground floor level with the basement 2.4 meters
below the actual road level.

northern site tension tower

of the site tension tower
Recommendation:
1. The site protection work can be optimized by reducing excavation depth from 3.075m to
2.4m below the road level.
2. This adjustment ensures a gentler ramp access while minimizing the need for extensive
protection works and reducing overall man hours.
