MATERIAL REF.

09-562

This Industrial Gaskets compound is based upon Ethylene Propylene Diene Rubber (EPDM).
It has been compounded as a high performance plate heat exchanger gasket compound and is
based on polymers produced from new ‘metallocene’ catalysts. The cure system is peroxide
based.

09-562 has excellent resistance to air ageing and compression set and is suitable for
applications where a long gasket life is required or the gasket is operating at temperatures that
are traditionally high for EPDM rubber compounds. 09-562 provides outstanding temperature
resistance; Industrial Gaskets recommend an upper temperature limit of 150°C (305°F) but for
many applications a hot inlet temperature of 165°C (330°F) can be tolerated.

09-562 is compounded to give no back-face sticking.

TEMPERATURE LIMITS

Upper Temperature Limit, Continuous Use 150°C (305°F)

Upper Temperature Limit, Special Conditions 180°C (355°F)
Upper Temperature Limit, Aqueous Media 150°C (305°F)
Lower Temperature Limit -30°C (-20°F)
