A Thane who betraying his own King (Duncan) by siding with the enemies.
11. DONALBAIN
Donalbain is King Duncan’s younger son.
He flees to Ireland after his father is killed.
12. FLEANCE
Fleance is Banquo’s son.
He escapes the killers and flees Scotland after his father’s murder.
13. HECATE
Hecate is the goddess of Magic and Witchcraft.
She scolds the Witches for advising Macbeth without consulting her.
14. LADY MACDUFF
Lady Macduff is Macduff’s wife.
She is murdered by Macbeth’s henchmen (murderers)
15. LENNOX
Lennox is a Scottish Thane.
He suspects Macbeth of foul play and rises against him.
16. MACDUFF’S SON
The son of Macduff who is murdered by Macbeth’s murderers.
17. MENTEITH
Menteith is a Scottish Thane.
He suspects Macbeth of foul play and rises against him.
18. OLD MAN
The Old man discusses strange omens with Ross on the day following King Duncan’s murder.
19. PORTER
The Porter is the servant to Macbeth.
He provides comic relief as he speaks with Macduff about the things that drink provokes.
20. ROSS
Ross is the Scottish Thane who suspects Macbeth of foul play and rises against him.
21. SEYTON
Seyton is the servant of Macbeth who announces the death of Lady Macbeth.
22. SCOTTISH DOCTOR
The Scottish Doctor consults with Lay Macbeth’s Lady-in-waiting about Lady Macbeth’s sleepwalking.
23. SIWARD
Siward is an English earl and Kinsman to Malcom.
He helps Malcom to raise an army to defeat Macbeth.

24. GENTLEWOMAN
The gentlewoman is a servant, or a lady-in-waiting to Lady Macbeth.
She consults a doctor regarding Lady Macbeth’s sleepwalking.
25. FIRST MURDERER
The first murderer is one Macbeth’s henchmen.
He kills Banquo and Macduff’s wife and son.
26. SECOND MURDERER
The second murderer is one of Macbeth’s henchmen
He kills Banquo and Macduff’s wife and son.
27. THIRD MURDERER
The third murderer is one of Macbeth’s murderers.
He kills Banquo and Macduff’s wife and son.
28. YOUNG SIWARD
Young Siward is Siward’s son and an English soldier.
He is killed by Macbeth in the final battle.
29. FIRST APPARITION
The First Apparition is of an armed head; it warns Macbeth to beware of Macduff, the Thane of Fife.
30. SECOND APPARITION
The Second Apparition is of a blood covered child.
It assures Macbeth that no one “born of a woman” can harm him.
31. THIRD APPARITION
The Third Apparition is of a crowned child holding a tree. It tells Macbeth that the only way he may be defeated is
