SECTION A
1. NOTE MAKING

TYPES OF INSURANCE POLICIES

A. Life insurance
(i) insurer pays premium thr. out life
(ii) wants to provide family c income after death
- money to cover for funnel + debt
(iii) capital sum paid when person dies
(iv) endowment policy
- provides agreed sum to e paid after # of yrs.
i.e. @ death
- helps one save
- premium is high but benefit good
- paid c accrued interest @ end of term

B. Motor vehicle insurance


(i) required by law for all c cars to be insured
- by recognized insurance company
(ii) comprehensive insurance
- give protection against physical damage to vehicle
- against loss from theft + fire
- protection for damage to any other vehicle, person or
property involve in any accident
- covers liability for body injury/death of passengers
i.e. including medical or surgical care
- cash settlement to dependents of the fatally injured
- carries a high premium coz of all e benefits involved

C. Personal insurance
(i) a term insurance
- for a short period to guarantee e payment of loan/ mortgage
for a property payment
- if insurer dies, b4 policy matures;
i.e. sum assured will be paid

(ii) health Insurance


- covers all medical expenses of e client
i.e. and other beneficiaries in e policy

(iii) children’s insurance


- taken when child is quite young
- can be arranged to mature when child ready for sec or
college educ.

D. Property insurance
(i) covers loss or destruction of property
- by fire, storm, flood, theft + explosion
(ii) companies charge premiums according to e risk
(iii) applies to locality as well as the building / structure insured

3. Pastor Moto believed God had answered his prayers by making the
church rich.
4. The pastor was impatient on that Sunday to announce the blessing
to the church.
5. On that Sunday, he preached the unusual way, and announced the
blessing; but Matiki was nowhere to be seen.
6. Upon finishing the service, the pastor came out and was greeted by
handcuffed Matiki with two policemen by his side.
