Students. They are the primary beneficiaries of the PLTL model. The flowchart indicates that students
participate in workshops, lectures, and remedial sessions which are integral to their learning experience.
Faculty. Faculty members are responsible for the curriculum and overall educational direction. They
interact with learning specialist to ensure that the content delivered in workshops and lectures align
with the academic goals.
Workshop Leaders. Typically selected from among the class. These leaders are those who greatly
excelled in class. Workshop leaders facilitate small group sessions. They receive trainings to guide their
peers through problem-solving activities that complement the lecture material.
Workshop. These are structured sessions where students engage in active learning. The workshops are
designed to reinforce concepts from lectures and labs through collaborative exercises.
Lectures. This traditional component of education involves direct instruction (lectures) and experiential
learning (laboratories). These flowchart shows that insights from these sessions feedback into the
workshops, creating a loop of continuous feedback and improvement.
Leader Training. Also positioned at the center of the flowchart as it is crucial for preparing workshop
leaders. It ensures that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively facilitate peer
learning sessions.
Researchers. These individuals work closely with the faculty to develop and refine educational materials
and strategies. They also provide direct support to students, helping them overcome academic
challenges.
