Hello, my name is Chris Barikpe, and I’m from Port Harcourt, Nigeria. I’m a
Cybersecurity student at Bowen University with hands-on experience in
networking, security operations, and threat analysis. My passion for
cybersecurity drives me to seek opportunities where I can apply my
knowledge in real-world scenarios.

Background (30s)

My cybersecurity journey started with a deep curiosity about how systems


work and how they can be secured. Over the years, I have developed skills in
network security, data protection, and system administration, gaining
experience across different operating systems like Windows, Linux, and
macOS. I’ve also worked in roles that strengthened my technical problem-
solving and teamwork abilities.

I have completed multiple industry-relevant courses, including:

CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA IT Technician courses

My core skills include technical support, Linux system management, MySQL
database handling, Python programming, and data analysis. I also have
hands-on experience with network troubleshooting and security monitoring,
thanks to my role as a technician and assistant manager at Dehouse Gaming
Lounge.

Why CyBlack? (60s)

CyBlack is an ideal platform for me to sharpen my practical cybersecurity


skills in a professional environment. This internship will allow me to apply my
knowledge in security operations, risk analysis, and incident response while
working alongside industry experts. My ultimate goal is to become a Security
Analyst, and this experience will bridge the gap between my academic
training and real-world application.

I am eager to contribute my skills and grow as a cybersecurity professional
