Word Riddles

Big words and small words and all the words in between. This challenge requires you to think outside the
box, but still think like an English Dean. Some are tricky and others are simpler than they seem.

1. Jimmy’s mother had three children. The first was called April, the second
was called May. What was the name of the third child?
(Answer) Jimmy

2. A truck driver is going opposite to the traffic on a one-way street. A police


officer sees him but doesn’t stop him. Why didn’t the police officer stop
him?
(Answer) The truck driver was walking on the side of the
road; not driving.

3. What is as light as a feather but the strongest man cannot hold for long?

(Answer) Eleven: T-H-E-A-L-P-H-A-B-E-T.

19. You walk across a bridge and you see a boat full of people, yet there
isn’t a single person on board. How is that possible?
(Answer) All the people on the boat are married.
