Sentences are of four main types –


assertive/declarative, interrogative, imperative and
exclamatory. Understanding how each type of
sentence varies from the other and how to use them
in different contexts is one of the essential steps in the
English language learning process. Working out
grammar exercises is one way to clearly learn the
structure and use of the different sentence types.
