THE NEEDS OF TODAY'S COMMUNITY.
DESIGN CONCEPT
"BLENDING VERNACULAR TRADITIONS WITH MODERN FUNCTIONALITY"
DESIGN PHILOSPHY
"HONORING CULTURAL HERITAGE THROUGH SUSTAINABLE AND
CONTEMPORARY DESIGN"
DESIGN OBJECTIVES
· TO PRIORITIZE THE USE OF SUSTAINABLE AND LOCALLY-SOURCED MATERIALS,
BLENDING TRADITIONAL CRAFTSMANSHIP WITH MODERN TECHNIQUES FOR
DURABILITY AND COMFORT.
· TO CREATE A FUNCTIONAL LAYOUT THAT ACCOMMODATES UP TO 100 PEOPLE
ENSURING EFFICIENT SPACE PLANNING.
· TO DESIGN A CLIMATE-RESPONSIVE STRUCTURE THAT INCORPORATES PASSIVE
COOLING STRATEGIES AND REFLECTS THE CULTURAL IDENTITY OF KAGAY-ANON
HERITAGE ARCHITECTURE.
DESIGN CONSIDERATION
Bamboo Poles
Ideal for trusses, columns, and decorative elements, bamboo
poles are strong and flexible. They last longer when treated
properly to resist pests and moisture damage.
River Stones
Good for foundations, walls, and decorative landscaping, river
stones are naturally strong and weather-resistant. They require
minimal maintenance but should be paired with proper
drainage to prevent moss buildup.
