BUS301 STUDY GUIDE

Format: 75 Multiple-Choice Items for 75 minutes (15 percent of your total grade)
Exam Deadline: Week 8, Wednesday, 11 p.m. EST.
The exam link is available on Blackboard from 6 a.m. on Tuesday to 11 p.m. on Wednesday.

Exam Structure: Log in to Blackboard during your exam date and time above. Select the Final Exam link and type your
course CRN when prompted for a password (five-digit number only).

Study the following objectives:

Chapter 4: Planning Business Messages


Objective 4:1 Describe the three-step writing process.
Objective 4:2 Explain why it's important to analyze a communication situation in order to define your purpose
and profile your audience before writing a message.
Objective 4:3 Discuss information-gathering options for simple messages and identify three attributes of quality
information.
