 I. OBJECTIVES

At the end of the lesson, the learners should be able to:

a. Identify and interpret vertical and horizontal bar graphs.
b. Create vertical and horizontal bar graphs based on the data.
c. Appreciate the importance of bar graphs as a tool of organizing and understanding
data.

What is a bar graph?

A bar graph is a diagram that is used to

compare and contrast values in relation to each
other.

There are three parts of a bar graph.

1.Title- it tells what is the graph all about.

2.Scale- it shows the frequency of data.

3.Label- it tells you what each bar and scale

stands for.

 Let us study the figures. What did you notice on
the two bar graphs?
