Cloud.

SAP Analytics Cloud is an all-in-one cloud product offered as software as a service (SaaS) for business
intelligence (BI), planning, and predictive analytics. Built natively on SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP
BTP), it provides a unified and secure public cloud experience to maximize data-driven decision making.

 Note

This document defines the functional scope of SAP Analytics Cloud. The availability of some of the features
in this document may depend on your license agreement with SAP and the cloud platform that you are
using, which SAP offers as either SAP BTP, Neo environment, or SAP BTP, Cloud Foundry environment.
If your SAP Analytics Cloud system is hosted in a data center located within China, some features that
depend on data or services outside China may not be available. To illustrate integration with other SAP
offerings, the product documentation on the SAP Help Portal might include references to features that
aren’t included with SAP Analytics Cloud.

In SAP Analytics Cloud, a model is a representation of large amounts of business data from source systems. It
defines measures and dimensions that are used to build visualizations, filters, and calculations in stories.

Features in the modeler include:

Feature Description

Account Model Configuration Lets you create a blank account model or a model based
imported data, which has a single default measure and an
account dimension. It also allows:

• Importing data from SAP BPC

• Creating allocation steps and processes

Processes Lets you see a high-level view of how much work is com-
pleted and how much still needs to be done. A process is an
aggregation of all the events that it contains, these can be
tasks or other processes.

Templates Lets you reuse your calendar processes. You can save them
as calendar templates in the file repository and share them
with other planning process modelers. You can use the tem-
plates to create new processes with the predefined event
structure of a template, or you can use templates to define
the generated event types of leaf members in the calendar
wizard.

Standard calendar templates let you quickly create proc-

esses based on their predefined event structures. A calendar
template viewer lets you view the template structure.

Convert Tasks or Processes Lets you adapt your calendar events to your changing needs
while modelling your workflows. You can break down a task
into separate events, or enhance a task with additional
steps. To simplify your workflow, you can convert a process
to a task.

Flexible Start Conditions Calendar events can start at a specific date and time, at
the same start date as their parent process, or when one or
more other calendar events meet a certain status.

Recurrence Calendar tasks that start at a specific date and time can be
set as a series that recurs after a certain number of minutes,
hours, days, weeks, or months. If a series takes place during
a daylight saving time change, it is adjusted accordingly and
takes place one hour earlier or later.

Start and End Dates In addition to the planned start and end dates of calendar
events, you can view the actual dates of the events and see
when an event was started and ended.

Generate Tasks and Processes with Calendar Wizard Lets you quickly generate tasks and processes from an or-
ganizational dimension in the calendar.
