Parameter and Statistics

This lesson plan focuses on teaching students the distinction between parameters and statistics, specifically through the concept of sample mean. It includes various activities, assessments, and reflections to enhance understanding and application of these statistical concepts in real-life situations. The plan aims for students to demonstrate their learning through group activities, class discussions, and individual assignments.

Lesson Plan in Statistics & Probability

Learning Competencies: The learner distinguishes between parameter and statistics.

Competency Code: M11/12SP – IIId – 3
Content Standard: The learner demonstrates understanding of key concepts of
sampling and sampling distributions of the sample mean.
Performance Standard: The learner is able to apply suitable sampling and sampling
distributions of the sample mean to solve real-life problems in
different disciplines.
Objectives: At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to distinguish
parameter and statistics.
Content: Sample Mean

example of a parameter or statistics. They will post their answer in an
appropriate column. After identifying the situations, the students will
answer the questions that follow. The group then post their activity
output to the board and report it to the class. The teacher will process
the group outputs.
