Assignment Instructional Planning:

Maydel Joy N. Dalap BEED 2C

1. Interview one veteran teacher (with at least six or more years of teaching experience),
one experienced teacher (with two to five years of teaching experience) and one beginning
teacher(with one year or less teaching experience). Ask them what are the components of
instructional planning and what do they think are the most important component of
instructional planning and why?

### Responses from the Teachers:

A. Veteran Teacher:

- Components of instructional planning: This teacher might emphasize elements such as needs
assessment, clear learning objectives, engaging instructional strategies, assessment methods,
and ongoing reflection and revision.

- Most important component and why: The veteran teacher may prioritize clear learning
objectives because they serve as the foundation for designing effective instruction. They might
argue that well-defined objectives guide the selection of appropriate instructional methods and
materials, ensure alignment with learner needs and goals, and facilitate meaningful assessment
of student learning.

B. Experienced Teacher:

- Components of instructional planning: This teacher may also highlight similar components as
the veteran teacher, with a focus on their practical application based on their teaching
experience.

- Most important component and why: The experienced teacher might consider engaging
instructional strategies as the most important component because they have observed
firsthand the impact of engaging and interactive teaching methods on student learning
outcomes. They may believe that keeping students actively involved in the learning process
fosters deeper understanding and retention of content.
C. Beginning Teacher:

- Components of instructional planning: The beginning teacher may mention components such
as lesson objectives, instructional materials, classroom management strategies, and assessment
tools, reflecting their initial focus on the day-to-day aspects of teaching.

- Most important component and why: The beginning teacher might emphasize classroom
management strategies as the most important component because they are grappling with
establishing a conducive learning environment and maintaining student engagement. They may
view effective classroom management as essential for creating a positive and productive
learning atmosphere.

2. Based what you have learned about instructional planning, what do you think are the
most important components of instructional planning?

### Most Important Components of Instructional Planning:

Based on the responses and considering various perspectives, the most important components
of instructional planning could include:

1. Clear Learning Objectives: Providing a roadmap for instruction, guiding the selection of
appropriate instructional methods and materials, and ensuring alignment with learner needs
and goals.

2. Engaging Instructional Strategies: Fostering active participation and interaction among

students, promoting deeper understanding and retention of content.

3. Classroom Management Strategies: Establishing a conducive learning environment,

maintaining student engagement, and maximizing instructional time.

4. Assessment Methods: Evaluating student progress and achievement of learning objectives,

providing feedback for improvement, and informing instructional decisions.

5. Ongoing Reflection and Revision: Continuously evaluating the effectiveness of instruction,

reflecting on student learning outcomes, and adapting instructional practices based on
feedback and assessment data.

These components collectively contribute to the development and implementation of effective

instructional plans that support student learning and achievement.
