The video narrated by Julia Roberts highlights the essential relationship between humanity and nature, emphasizing that while nature does not need people, people are entirely dependent on nature for survival. It calls for urgent action to protect the environment through practices such as reducing waste, reusing items, recycling, planting trees, and conserving energy. The document stresses that our future relies on mindful actions to preserve Mother Nature and maintain biodiversity.

The video of Conservation International voiced by Julia Roberts about Mother Nature

emphasizes a significant lesson: "Nature doesn't need people; people need nature." Nature has
existed for 4.5 billion years, 22,500 times longer than the human race has drawn breath on this
planet. When nature thrives, we thrive. When nature falters, we falter. The future of humanity
depends upon our actions, decisions, and efforts in protecting our mother nature, which every
living creature, including us humans and numerous wildlife animals on earth, is dependent on. I
realized that nowadays most humans seem unable to recall that we are entirely reliant upon
nature. The water we drink, which contains 1% fresh water; the food we eat, which comes from
fruits and vegetables that grow in our environment; and the air in the atmosphere, which is made
up of several layers, including the troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere, ionosphere, and
thermosphere, which shield us from dangerous UV rays, meteorites, and further celestial bodies,
are all godsends that our mother nature provides us to sustain the life on our planet. Even though
Mother Nature has an ineffable beauty and brings life into a wide variety of creatures as well as
plants, we humans must be mindful of our actions that can cause different environmental issues
that ruin our environment, like the emissions from cars and factories that contribute to air
pollution, burning fossil fuels that can result in climate change and extinction of some species
that play a significant role in the food chain that can lead to biodiversity loss. As the number of
people worldwide grows at an unprecedented rate, the demand for resources and space increases,
which can lead to deforestation, habitat loss for numerous wildlife animals, and resource
depletion. Because humanity and Mother Nature are intertwined, as Julia Roberts imparted, we
must take action to save Mother Nature from being destroyed. First, we must perform the 3Rs:
Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. Reducing means that we must minimize the amount of waste we
produce by only purchasing the products that we need. Reusing means finding alternatives to
new products or utilizing things more than once. Recycling means getting rid of things so that
they can be turned into new goods. As a result of that course of action, we can decrease the
emissions of greenhouse gases that cause climate change and support the preservation of the
environment for the next generations.

Second, we must plant trees. As a result of that course of action, it can help to absorb carbon
dioxide and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Third, we must turn off the lights and electronic
devices that are not used. As a result of that course of action, it can save energy since appliances
that are plugged in despite not being used still consume electricity. Fourth, use recyclable items
and replace plastic bags with reusable cloth. As a result of that course of action, we may
contribute to the reduction of plastic garbage that contaminates our rivers, seas, and other bodies
of water that are home to a variety of aquatic life. Lastly, we must respect nature and look after
the animals, flowers, and trees around us since they play a vital role in the ecosystem.
