Unit I- Instructional materials: text and classroom environment Visual aids.

Topic: Means of Transports

Language focus: teaching vocabularies (name of the transports)

Duration of the lesson: 1 hour and half

Objective

By the end of this lesson, students should be able to:

 Mentions the transports in English;


 Draw a mean of transport (car, motorbike, train, plane ) and paint.
 Say their favorites mean of transport in English;

I. Presentation Stage 13’mins

Warm-up

Teacher greets the students

 Vocabulary pre-teaching: draw, paint.

The teacher elicits the students by asking them about:

 Which transport do you like?

e.g. I like car.


II. Practice stage

The shows some image of the transport and ask the students to say the name

The Teacher writes the names of means of transport on the board

Car, train, plane, bike, motorbike.

e.g This is a car.

The teacher writes the dialogue and explains what to do.

A- Hello, Good afternoon!


B- Hello, how are you?
A- I am fine thanks and you?
B- I am fine too.
A- What is your name, please?
B- Hum, my name is Manuela and you?
A- Well, my name is Beto.
B- Which transport do you like!
A- I like bike and you please?
B- Well, I like motorbike. Bye!

Production stages 12mins

Activity 1
Teacher asks the students to draw any object they like and paint with the colors learnt.

Feedback 2: The teacher corrects the activities, and does overall summary of the
lesson.

III. Homework. 2mins

Memorize the dialogue and practice it again next lesson with your friend.
