from both the article and researched sources to support your opinion.

Your assignment should include the following elements:

A complete draft with an introduction, body, and conclusion

An objective summary of your chosen article in the introduction paragraph

A critique that thoughtfully analyzes your chosen article

Counterclaims that are clear, well supported, and fair

Sufficient support for each of your points, including at least two outside sources

A works-cited page that lists all of the sources you used, including the article

You should have completed a draft of this assignment in the activity before this one.
If you haven't done so, go back and complete that activity now.

Ask yourself these questions as you revise:

Does my claim clearly map out the scope of my argumentative essay?

Does my critique section clearly explain my ideas and refer directly to the article
I'm analyzing?

Do my counterclaims clearly oppose an opinion expressed in my chosen article or


essay?

Are my counterclaims thoroughly supported by evidence?
