Summary

A certain Mr. Poirot has some useful information for Bodie and Doyle. Bodie doesn't trust
him though...

[Stand-alone fic, part of the No true pair - Eight character full-round]

Notes

No true pair is a fic challenge: first, you make a list of characters - in this case eight, then
prompts are revealed and thorough the course of the challenge every character interacts with
all the other characters and does various things.

My list of characters:
1) Hercule Poirot (Agatha Christie’s Poirot) || 2) Clay Spenser (SEAL Team) || 3) G Callen
(NCIS: LA) || 4) Javier Fernandez (Figure skating RPF) || 5) Meredith Grey (Grey’s
Anatomy) || 6) William Bodie (The Professionals, 1977) || 7) Gregory House (House M.D.) ||
8) Sherlock Holmes (BBC Sherlock)

Second prompt is: 6 (Bodie) & 1 (Poirot) distant memory

Knowledge of both TV series (or books) is recommended for this one.

If you know you know… otherwise there’s a hint in the end notes.

Cowley had finished the meeting, all agents were leaving the room, only Doyle and Bodie
stayed.

“Bodie, Doyle, you’ll meet a certain Mr. Poirot, he’s waiting for you in his flat at Whitehaven
Mansions, he seems to have some knowledge about our case.”

“But the case is top secret,” Bodie said.

“He’s a private detective and it looks like he has come across some … useful information,”
Cowley said.

“Mph,” Bodie growled in the car. “A civilian. How can a private detective have some useful
information about this case? Private detectives are just supposed to pursue unfaithful wives
and husbands…”

“Why does it make you so angry? When I was a constable we often received tips from
civilians. And even now we do have some snitches. You have them.”

“That’s different,” Bodie waved it off.

George, the valet, invited them into Poirot’s flat and the moment he saw Poirot Bodie
furrowed his eyebrows even more.

“We are from CI5, I’m Doyle, he’s Bodie,” Doyle said.

“Enchanté, messieurs,” Poirot said with a small smile and gestured for the agents to sit down.

“You don’t come from the UK, right, Mr. Poirot?” Bodie asked loudly.

“Non, monsieur Bodie. I’m from Belgium,” Poirot said, not showing any signs of anger, he’d
been asked many times.

“Are you sure you aren’t from Spain?”

“I’m very sure. Perhaps gentlemen-“ Poirot said but was interrupted again.

“What about Africa?” Bodie asked.

“Well, I have been in Egypt, of course, a few times, though the voyage there is quite terrible.
However, I’ve been more active in the Middle East…”
“Active?” Bodie shouted.

“I’m a private detective. I specialize in solving murders, that’s my métier and that’s also the
reason why I believe I have some pieces of information that could be useful for you right
now,” Poirot stated calmly, turning the discussion to the present case.

“Yes, that would be great,” Doyle joined the conversation and shot a warning look to Bodie
so that he would let Poirot talk.

“Thank you, Mr. Poirot, this will really help us a lot,” Doyle said and smiled at Poirot.

“Poirot deals with old-fashion murderers, these modern gangs and conspiracy groups are for
you,” Poirot stated.

“Excuse me but don’t you have a brother?” Bodie asked, still mistrustful.

“Oh, well, you may have heard about Achille, but he’s only a figment of imagination, most
useful though… Especially for the case of the Big Four. I managed to convince a few people
about his existence,” Poirot chuckled discreetly.

Bodie grumbled. “Nope, that’s not that. This one is definitely not a figment of imagination.”

“What on earth was that?!” Doyle growled when they left Poirot’s flat. “He’s on our side,
you’ve got the memo, right? That was some hostile interrogation there, Bodie.”

“You haven’t noticed?”

“Noticed what?” Doyle asked, confused.

“He looks just like Krivas!”

End Notes

Krivas, the villain and Bodie’s arch enemy, was played by David Suchet. The same actor who
also starred as Hercule Poirot in the TV series ;)
