Substance Abuse – KM

Check oketsu, Lv and kid re exes and treat accordingly.

Detox pts: Kid9, LI 15, Lv 5 (for Lv detox)**


**1/2 way between anklebone and Lvr 8 – look for depression or localized pitting edema
45º w/ ow. If edema: add 21 direct moxa. If pitting edema extreme, more treatments will be
needed.

Note: Upper Kid 9, 3 ngers below k 10 ( nd painful spot) is traditionally used for morphine
addiction (also in combo w/ Lvr 5)

Essential: Hepatitis pts: all (R) Hrt 3, Sp 7, Pc 4 and moxa everyday (Sp 7 – 3 ngers above Sp
6, Pc 4-3 ngers below Pc 3)

Lincoln Centre Protocol


Ear points:
1. (B) Sympathetic
2. (B) Shen men Easiest to do in this order
3. (B)Kidneys
4. (B) Liver

For smoking cessation: add 5. Lung, do upper lung in one ear, lower lung in other ear.

For heroin withdrawal, add 4 gates, electrostim to ear..

Arya for nicotine withdrawal:


GB20, GV14, GB21, BL13, BL17
Then 4 gates, St36, Lu1, yintang
Others: LU6, 7, 8 to move qi in lungs (especially Tin ye, Lu8 but top of wrist.
Recommend person develop alternative activities, have fun, cigarettes squelsh desires for other
things you want in life.
Treats once a week, after three weeks into psychological, past physiological withdrawal.
If nicotine patch waits till down to zero.
