Magic I think this is so creative. From a time when magic was performed on TV with
class and skill! Great Bond music, also.

The best trick he's ever devised was when he managed to convince Claudia
Schiffer to date him.

OMG! Now I'm really scared... I watched exactly the same clip two days ago.
Zombie Magic is the real Mindfreak. Get out of my head!!! :-D

Back to topic. I love all the "oldschool" David Copperfield clips.

Yes, thanks for the flashback, Zombie!

Extremely cornball writing, but the magic was strong, at least! This was only his
third TV special. I suspect this is from before Copperfield got big enough to take

I've only seen him in person once, in Tulsa, OK, in the 1980s. It was a great
show. The Origami Illusion was a high point for me; I loved seeing it on TV, and
it was even more impressive live. Got to shake his hand after the show, and it
struck me that he looked bigger in person than he does on TV. I thought it was
supposed to work the other way around.

Magic French, I think David is on the tall side.

I was surprised for the time, that they didn't use Muzak type versions of the
Bond music. It's the actual film scores, which in the 60's were always beautiful
thanks to John Barry.

Saw him last year in Vegas...the guy still has it.

I swear, from my perspective, he had absolutely NO mistakes in his show, an
absolutely flawless performance from beginning to end.
And he jams a lot of tricks and illusions into his show.

I must admit that I miss the vignettes and stories that he added to his magic..
On a side note - I watched the linking rings that he did around that same time..
It was very much like Richard t
Rosses routine and the guy playing the store clerk in that peice actually looked
like Richard Ross ...
