07. Humidity Control

Humidity is the amount of water vapor in the air, which affects weather conditions and bodily cooling through sweat evaporation. Certain living products, such as plants and fruits, require specific humidity levels for optimal preservation, with some being sensitive to moisture loss. The document categorizes produce based on their humidity sensitivity, highlighting which fruits and vegetables thrive in low or high humidity environments.

What is Humidity?

Humidity is the amount of

water vapor in the air. Water
vapor is the gaseous state of
water and is invisible.
Humidity indicates the
likelihood of precipitation,
dew, or fog. Higher humidity
reduces the effectiveness of
sweating in cooling the body
by reducing the rate of
evaporation of moisture
from the skin.
