"Original Crochet Pattern:

'Kitty Babies'"
Paid Crochet Pattern "Kitty Babies"
This pattern is a paid tutorial, and its distribution will be considered a violation of
copyright. Please respect the hard work of creators! The pattern is intended for
personal use only.

Size of the toy:

The finished size of the toy depends on the crochet hook you use. If using a size 4
mm hook and “Himalaya Dolphin Baby” yarn, the toy will be approximately 25 cm
tall and 30 cm long. If you use velvet yarn, the toy will be about half the size.
Note:
This crochet pattern does not include basic crochet instructions. It is designed for individuals who
already have good crochet skills and can read patterns confidently.

Main Materials for the Toy (if using "Dolphin Baby" yarn):
Plush yarn:

Main color (80316) – 2 skeins

Additional color (80333) – half a skein
Small amounts of 80317 for the face details and 80336 for the lower part of the ears
Fluffy yarn:

A small amount of fluffy yarn (I used "Kuzya Klubochkin," color 16) for the bangs and the tip of the tail
Cotton yarn:

"Vita Coco" or similar alternatives (e.g., embroidery floss like "Mouline") for sewing parts and
crocheting the eyes, nose, and paw pads (in black, white, yellow, beige, and pink colors)
Crochet hooks:
4 mm hook for the main toy
1.25 mm hook for eyes, nose, and paw details
Joints and tools:
T-shaped cotter pins (5 pieces)
2 discs, 50 mm
8 discs, 45 mm
(Alternatively, use joints with the same diameters: 4 joints (45 mm) for the legs and 1 joint (50 mm) for
the head)
Round-nose pliers (if working with cotter pins)
Stuffing:
Holofiber, synthetic fluff, or any filler you typically use
Other tools:
Needle, stitch marker, scissors
Main Materials for the Toy (if using velvet yarn):
Main Materials for the Toy (if using velvet yarn, 170–180 m per 100 g):

Fluffy yarn:

A small amount for the bangs and the tip of the tail (I used "Kuzya Klubochkin," shade 16)
Cotton thread:

"Iris" or "Mouline" thread (used in half strands), or similar alternatives, for sewing parts and crocheting eyes,
nose, and paw pads (in black, white, yellow, beige, and pink colors)
Crochet hooks:

3 mm hook for the main toy

0.9 mm hook for the eyes, nose, and paw details
Joints and tools:

T-shaped cotter pins (5 pieces)

head)
Round-nose pliers (if working with cotter pins)
Yarn for the Panther:
Main yarn:

"Himalaya Dolphin Baby" – 80311 (3 skeins)

A little bit of gray yarn (80357) for the paws
Alternative yarn:

"YarnArt Dolce" – 3 skeins, shade 742

Eyes:

I used "Vita Coco" yarn for the eyes, but you can use a similar alternative like embroidery floss ("Mouline")
for sewing parts and crocheting eyes, nose, and paw pads (in black, white, light blue, and gray colors)
Main Body and Spots:

Himalaya Dolphin Baby (Colors: 80302 or 80313) – 2 skeins

Plush Yarn:

"It’s very soft and smooth) The hook glides through it easily, and crocheting
the base is a pleasure =)”

"Thanks to the fact that the yarn is quite bulky, toys made from it crochet
up quickly =) But there are some nuances! The yarn sheds, so when cutting
the yarn, always try to leave a longer tail. I do not recommend pulling the
yarn tightly, as it immediately loses its appearance."

This emphasizes the quick progress with plush yarn and offers tips for
managing its texture, like leaving a longer yarn tail to avoid shedding and
not pulling the yarn too tightly to preserve its look.

"The toy can be washed by hand in warm soapy water. After washing,
gently press the toy to remove excess water, without wringing it, to avoid
deforming it. Dry it only on a flat surface. NOT on a radiator! With proper
care, the toy will last you a long time =)”
"Information on how to move the marker so that it follows the correct
direction:"

"This toy is crocheted in a spiral. Because of this, the marker (any piece of yarn)
constantly shifts. To prevent this from happening, we create placement stitches
approximately every 3-5 rounds. This depends on the tension, the size of the hook
you’re using, the yarn, etc. The marker should follow the main line and not shift, so
that every part of the toy remains exactly as you intended and as it is described in
the pattern."

"The description is written for the lion. All other animals are crocheted using the same
pattern, only with different colors (which are written above)."
"Well then =) Let’s start our crochet =) Head:"

"(In this part, pay attention to the marker! It should stay

right at the center of the bottom of the head. If anything
seems off, watch the video, I explain everything in detail
there.)"

"Let’s start crocheting with the additional color (80333):"

1) 6sc in MR (6 single crochet in magic ring)

2) 6 inc (Increase in each stitch, 12 total stitches)

3) ( 1 sc, inc) * 6 ( 18)

4) "Next, we begin introducing the main color yarn

(80316) (pay close attention to the description)".

"You can cut and hide the additional color yarn (80333).
In the next round, we begin introducing the new yarn in
the secondary color (80317), alternating it with the main
color yarn (80316)":

Start the round with the main color yarn (80316):

If you plan to use joints, then at the end of round 15,

do not crochet 1 stitch up to the marker. Make 2 ch
(chain stitches), insert the hook into the second chain
from the marker, and continue crocheting according
to the pattern.

and hide the remaining yarn inside the piece.
EARS

Crochet according to the provided

diagram for 7 rounds, 4 pieces: 2
with the main color (80316) and 2
with the additional color (80317).

Next, sew the ears together using

regular sc with the main color,
switching to the additional color
(80336) at the edge of the ear.

Crochet the first round of edging in

a circle with the main color: 16 sc,
change yarn to the additional color,
13 sc, make a ch, turn your work,
crochet 13 sc with the additional
color, change yarn back to the main
color, and crochet 16 sc to the end
of the round.
Sew the second ear together in the
same way, but in a mirror image
(see the diagram).
Front Paws

In the lower part of the paw, do not track the marker.

Start tracking from round 9.

Start crocheting with the additional color (80333):

marker. Do not complete this stitch, move the marker
Before crocheting, this will now be the beginning of the
round, and from this point on, we will follow the
marker. It should pass strictly through the center of the
back of the leg.

Change yarn to the main color (80316):

9) 2 inc, 5 sc, dec, 1 sc, dec, 5 sc, 2 inc (21)

24) 18 sc (1 sc, dec) * 6 (12)

25) 6 dec, secure the yarn, cut it, tighten

the hole, hide the yarn inside the toy

If you are using joints, then for the left leg,
we crochet as follows:

Row20: 5 sc, 2 ch, insert the hook into the

3rd ch from the hook and complete with 17
sc

For the right leg:

Row 20: 17 sc, 2 ch, insert the hook into the

2nd chain from the hook, and crochet
5 sc

Separate the paw into toes with

stitches (using black yarn doubled).
Embroider them in the places
where the toes are located on the
paw; they should be visible there
Next, crochet 20 pieces intended for forming the paw
pads (16 small circles and 4 larger pieces).

16 small circles:

1) 6 sc in magic ring

2) 6 inc (12)

3) (1 sc, inc) * 6 (18), 2 sl st, cut the yarn, secure it,

leave the yarn for attaching.

And also crochet 4 larger pieces (in the shape of a

rectangle):

1) 6 sc in magic ring

2) 6 inc (12)

3) (1 sc, inc) x 6 (18)

4) 1 sc, inc, (2 sc, inc) x 5, 1 sc (24)

5) (3 sc, inc) x 6 (30)

6) Next, crochet 10 sl st, 10 hdc, 10 sl st

"Secure the yarn, cut it, leaving a yarn tail for

sewing."

Attach our little pads to the

paw as follows: start with
the larger triangular piece,
then sew on the smaller
pads (see the photo).
Eyes

Start by crocheting with black yarn: 6 sc in a

magic ring (MR).
Crochet 6 increases (6 inc) (12 stitches).
(1 sc, inc) x6 (18 stitches). Change yarn to
yellow.
1 sc, inc, (2 sc, inc) x3, 2 sc. Change yarn to
white.
Move the yarn to the top, at the back of the
eye. Count back 2 stitches from the yellow
part, pull the white yarn through that stitch,
and continue crocheting in a circle. Insert the
hook in the next stitch and crochet:
1 sc, inc, 4 sc, 4 sc in one stitch, 4 sc, inc, 3 sc, sl
st.
Pull the yarn through, secure it, and cut the
yarn, leaving a tail for sewing.

Next, crochet with black yarn, making slip

stitches (sl st) in the front loop only around
the entire perimeter of the eye. Be careful not
to pull too tightly on each stitch so the eye
doesn't get distorted or too tight.
Nose:

1) Chain 10, starting from the second chain from the

hook: increase, 7 sc, 4 sc in one stitch, continue on the
opposite side with 7 sc, increase (22)

2) 2 increases, 3 sc, slip stitch, 3 sc, 4 increases, 3 sc, 3 sc

in one stitch, 3 sc, 2 increases (32)

3) 7 sc, slip stitch, chain 1, 15 sc, increase, 7 sc, slip stitch

Next, attach the beige yarn to the bottom corner of the

heart and single crochet around the nose with slip
stitches, working in the front loops only.

Embroider the nostrils.

Tail:
1) 6 sc in MR

2) (1 sc, inc) *3 times (9 sc)

3)-25) Crochet 9 sc in each round (23
rounds)
You can crochet more rounds if you
want a longer tail..
Next, join through both loops and sew 4
single crochet stitches (sc).

Then, attach fluffy yarn to the tip of the

tail (pre-cutting pieces of yarn about 10
cm long), attaching a piece of yarn to
each stitch. Afterward, trim the yarn to
your desired length.

For the tiger's tail:

Crochet the first 6 rows with black yarn,

then 2 rows with white yarn, and the
rest with orange yarn.
For the leopard's tail:
Head Decoration:

Shaping the Face:

Make the face shaping by tightening the yarn. To do this, insert your needle from the
bottom of the muzzle near the joint (or spindle), around the marker, and bring it up to the
corner of the muzzle at the point where two additional yarn colors meet (see the photo).
Then, after skipping one stitch upwards, insert the needle into the opposite side at a
place symmetrical to where the needle was initially brought out (in mirror reflection, see
the photo). Don't forget to pull the yarn slightly to see how the shaping is turning out.
Next, insert the needle into the stitch above and bring it out again on the opposite side, a
little higher, and continue in this manner (see the photo and video). Continue shaping
using this method upwards to your desired height. Once you are happy with the result,
bring the needle back to the starting point (the bottom of the muzzle near the joint). Tie
the ends, tighten them, trim, and hide the yarn inside the toy.
Sewing the Nose:

Sew the nose under the orange part of the muzzle

(the top part of the nose should be positioned
where the white and orange yarns meet).

Embroider the mouth :

To do this, insert the needle outside the

muzzle at any point, then move to the lower
part of the nose and make the first stitch
approximately 2-3 stitches down, repeating
this for several stitches. Next, bring the
needle to the edge of the muzzle (see photo),
pull the yarn across the mouth, and insert the
needle symmetrically on the opposite side of
the muzzle. Repeat this 2 more times. Then,
bring the needle back to the starting point, tie
the yarn, and hide the ends inside the toy.
Attaching the Eyes:
Sew the eyes (after securing them with
pins) at the corners of the muzzle in the
light brown color (see photo).
Embroider the corner of the eyes towards
the nose with black thread (optional), as
well as the eyelashes and eyebrows

Attaching the Ears:

Sew the ears in an arch shape (see
photo), securing them with pins
beforehand. The distance between the
ears should be 9-10 stitches.
Positioning the Ears:
The ears are positioned between rows 15 and
22, directly above the beige spots under the
eyes.
Bangs:

Cut pieces of fluffy yarn about 10 cm long.

Then, using your hook, pull each piece of yarn
through each stitch, tying them into small
knots (the length of the bangs is up to you,
depending on what you prefer). Afterward, if
you want, you can trim the ends with scissors
to make them even.

The head is ready

Assembling the toy

Crochet the body, connecting all the parts together

between each other:

1) 6 sc in MR

2) 6 inc (12)
3) (1 sc, inc) * 6 (18)
