APPLICATION
● Application Processing Fee: Rs. 1,000/- (Transfer online to Account Name: National Institute of Technology
Durgapur, Account No. 8569101000352, Payable at Canara Bank, NIT Campus, Durgapur, IFS Code:
CNRB0008569).
● The admission committee of the respective department is fully empowered and responsible for selection and
their decision is final in the admission process. Queries, if any, should be directed to respective departments. No
correspondence/interim inquiries will be entertained from the candidates including reasons for not being called
for interview. Canvassing in any manner would also entail disqualification of the candidature.

ELIGIBILITY
● In qualifying degree, the candidates should have secured at least 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 60% marks
for Open/OBC categories, whereas 6.0 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 55% marks for SC/ST categories. The above
mentioned CGPA/Percentage should be awarded by a recognized University/Institute. Conversion from CGPA to
percentage or vice versa given by an individual Institute will not be considered. However, the candidates will
have to mention CGPA/Percentage as awarded by their University/Institute.

APPLICATION CHECKLIST
Applicants need to be personally present on 12th August 2024 (10AM) in the respective department for the
selection examination. The following documents should be attached along with the filled-in application form.
1) Signed photocopy of marksheet / Grade card of the secondary, higher secondary and other university examinations.
2) Signed photocopy of the certificate / provisional certificate of the qualifying examination
3) Signed photocopy of proof of date of birth
4) Sponsorship certificate from the present employer as per the format given.
5) Form 16 of the Last Financial Year from the present employer
6) Application Fee Payment Receipt of Rs. 1,000/-

An application without all the relevant documents liable to be rejected.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR M.TECH PROGRAMMES (SPONSORED)

Mere eligibility will not ensure a call for admission test and/or viva voce. Depending on the number of applications received
and the eligibility, a shortlist shall be prepared for a call for admission test and viva-voce in the respective departments.

Sponsored candidates must have a minimum of two years full-time work experience in a Govt./Semi-Govt. or reputed and
recognized organization in the relevant field in which admission is being sought. A certificate (in the given format) from the
Employer must be furnished. The employer should also indicate that the candidate will not be withdrawn midway till the
completion of the programme.

HOSTEL
The Institute is essentially a residential one and every student shall be required to reside on campus and be a boarder of the
Hall of Residence to which he/she is assigned. However, no family accommodation will be provided inside the campus.
