1. Pupils activate prior knowledge by working in pairs and take turns to describe a favourite film, describe what the film is about, say why they
like it and who would they recommend should see the film.
2. A few pairs share their discussions with the class.
LESSON DEVELOPMENT: (40 minutes)

1. Pupils turn to Full Blast page 92 and look at Section A.


2. Pupils remain with their partners and discuss 3 questions in Section A. (Complementary Skill)
3. A few pairs share their discussions with the class.
4. Pupils move on to Section B and look at the poster of the film accompanying the text and state the title of it (Ola Bola).
5. Pupils respond as a class to the following questions about the film (Have you seen the film? Have you heard of this film? Did you like it? What
do you know about it? What kind of film is it?)
6. Pupils look at the layout of the text and state what they think it is (a review of Ola Bola)

7. Pupils read through the film review and identify any unknown words at the same time.
8. Pupils answer 4 questions about the review of the film Ola Bola and discuss answers as a class. (Main Skill)
9. Pupils proceed to Section C and read through the sentences 1-8 and the adjectives in the box.
10. Pupils rephrase 8 sentences using 8 adjectives in the box.
11. Pupils compare their answers in pairs before discussing as a class.
12. Pupils go on to Section D and read through the plan, the TIPS corner and the writing task.
13. Pupils work in groups and make a plan of the film they have chosen to write about and include the following points: (Title, type of film,
director, leading actors, plot, acting, soundtrack, special effects, costumes and ending) (Main Skill)
14. A few groups read out their film reviews.

POST-LESSON: (10 minutes)


1. Pupils discuss with their talk partner(s) about a film they haven’t seen but want to see. Why do they want to see it? Have they read
any good reviews? Have their friends already seen it and recommended it?
